Best bet for tanning/laundry needs 11/23/2010

I have been tanning at Levee Laundry & Tan for 5 years now. After trying many of the other tanning locations in town, Levee Tan has stood alone in quality and price. The beds are clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and well informed in regards to a client’s tanning needs. Add that to the fact that I can tan at any time, day or night, and it clearly is a no-brainer. Added bonus: I can throw my laundry in a washer and tan at the same time. They even have 45-lb and 80-lb washers, which are perfect for those times I get behind! Free Wi-fi and big screen TVs sweeten the deal. Why would you go anywhere else? more

Clean Laundry...Nice Tan 11/27/2005

Usually these two would not go together but it is nice to have something to do while your clothes are washing. I have a washer and dryer but during Spring cleaning it is great to be able to go wash all of my sheets, blankets, comforters, and towels at the same time. Now the Purdue students use this place a lot, so call ahead to find out how busy they are. Or they also have a service where you just drop off your stuff and they wash & dry it for you. more

Pretty good tan 10/23/2005

I can't speak for the laundry in this place, but as a tanning one it's pretty good. Decent long-term deals (just make sure you know when yours expires - they dont' really stress expiration dates, and I lost a few tans on my deal eventually), knowledgeable staff. Their offer for first-timers is "2 tans for $2", and they try to discourage people from abusing it by taking electronic fingerprints. I wouldn't have come there if I'd known about it beforehand, frankly. But otherwise, the place is pretty nice. more

Good combo 10/21/2005

Good combo. Tan while you do your laundry:) Also another location in Lafayette. Very clean and always running a competitive special that can't be beat. (Usually a combo special with a few sessions in each of the different beds.) I like them because they have many beds and waiting for an open bed is rare...even during the spring months. By the way, they use your fingerprint to identify you when you sign in. Higher tech than my bank! more

Not too fancy, but just friendly enough 9/9/2005

This is a busy tanning place located next door to a laundromat facility. (I suppose, you can get a tan while doing your laundry?). They have great referral specials (2 tans for $2), and their packages are rather good. On the negative side, they want your fingerprint (?!) to prevent unauthorized use of packages. They claim some of the tan-needy students from the nearby campus were a little too resourceful, and were splitting packages to lower the price. However, service is efficient and friendly, they have lots of tanning lotions to try, and a few "sun-tatoos" as well. more
