A Fitting Place

I would highly recommend A Fitting Place. I had gone to another tailor to get my bridesmaid dress taken in. The tailor had done a good job, but the fit wasn't quite right. I couldn't breathe in it! Unfortunately, I needed to fly out to the wedding two days after I got the dress back. So, I had only one day to get the dress let out a bit. The original tailor who had done the work wasn't able to let out the dress the day I needed it done due to prior commitments. I was in a panic. I wouldn't be able to function as a bridesmaid if I couldn't breathe! I called A Fitting Place. They were able to let out the dress the same day. Moreover, they made another change to the dress that made it fit even better than if they had just let it out. They completely saved the day. I would give them the highest recommendation! more

Jay was who helped me. She was very professional and did an awesome last minute job on my bridesmaid dress. I felt like the price was very reasonable, especially considering how last minute it was. more

I went here for a bridesmaid alteration and it was very expensive and poor quality! I paid $95 just to have the dress let out at the seams and the hem taken up a little. You can tell it's been altered all of the top where it was let out has bumps and waves that clearly shows it has been altered and it does not fit perfectly. The hem wasn't right either.. the slip is longer than the dress and shows at the bottom. They quoted my $35 for the hem alone and $30-60 for the top and 60 being the highest if we had to take material from the skirt to add to the top.. we did not, only took out seems and was still charged the maximum amount... and not a ""expert"" job! I don't know who Maggie and Grace are, but they are not there.. there is a Jenna and another lady I can't think of her name, but they are not like others described Maggie and Grace were below. Sounds like they got new management and they suck! more

I am thrilled at how my wedding dress turned out. Every bride becomes nervous thinking of all of the details of their special day. However, I was even more nervous with the details of my dress. We had taken a very simple Nicole Miller dress and embellished it. Maggie and Grace both could help me see the vision before it was complete. When I tried on the final altered dress, I could not stop smiling. I know that I am going to feel classy, sexy and timeless on my wedding day. Great shop ~ extremely professional, proficient, and friendly. AND . . . they are one of the only shops in town that can work with lycra spandex which so many active Boulderites wear on a daily basis ;) . .. they are happy to alter/mend anything from wedding gowns and tuxedos to patching clothes that just need a little TLC to have a longer lifespan. When they repair, alter, or mend your clothes they do it the right way. Don't expect to drop off pants for alterations without trying them on--but that's okay because everyone's nice, professional, and efficient. Pros: Easy parking, good hours, everyone speaks English more

I've used this business a few times, once for a suit alteration. I bought a suit at a local thrift store, and it just needed a few things done to make it look not only brand new, but custom fitted. I then used them a second time to get some measurements done for a tuxedo i needed for a wedding back in Michigan. Really friendly staff, great customer service, and really accommodating.
