Huge facility so I know my dog has room to run and is less likely to get sick from overcrowding (too many dogs in a small space with poor ventilation). \r \r Excellent staff, limited enrollment so I know problem dogs that could hurt my dog are excluded. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations.\r \r This is the first operating daycare for Racine so they have the most experience and best clientele. Client feedback is used to govern and form new features, services and facilities on a continuing basis.\r \r Why settle for less than the biggest and the best facility? more

I work at Proper Paws University, and I take offense to what Judy K. had to say. The only time the dogs are in their crates are in the morning when the owners drop them off and then during their resting period from 12pm until 2pm. The dogs need that resting period because some of them need to eat, and they need time to digest their food, because if you feed them and put them out right away and they start running around, it will increase the chances of bloat in a dog...which is very bad! The resting period is also a time for the dogs to be able to calm down and relax. You can't just have the dogs running around all day, they will get extremely tired and aggitated, they need that time to bring down their excitement level. Especially if it is hot out, they need breaks, and dogs don't always realize that they need one until they become upset because a dog just won't leave them alone and wants to keep playing, while the other dog just needs time to lie down and recooperate. I think the majority of the staff is very friendly and helpful with the exception of a few. I found the training they offered helpful. My only real negative to say is that their daycare facility crates their dogs-and for a very long period of time. If you have a trained qualified staff I don't see how this is a benefit for a dog owner or a dog. I would take a class there again but would never recommend their daycare. more

Proper Paws University is a great place for dog obedience training & doggie day care in Racine & Kenosha, WI. I would highly recommend them to people looking for these types of services that live near each place. more

We rented their building here last year for an annual meeting of our dog rescue group. They were most helpful and generous with their time and building. \r \r Have taken my dogs for a couple of classes there and they know what they are doing! \r \r I recommend the place--will continue to go back. We used their facility in Kenosha this year for our annual meeting. That was great as well. \r \r Folks at work use the daycare option and the dogs love it. more

As for training and day care you could not as for a better place outside of your own home. And if you need it they will even come to your home as well. This is the best training place in RACINE!! They have trainers for all types of problems from the basic sit to the afraid dog!! They train them all!! Just ask they will eval them and give you the best training you could ask for!
