let me tell you, this guy came to my house, took about $2900 and didn't finish the job like a complete loser. Yes, he is a loser. Only a loser would do that to someone, so that ...

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/27/2013

Peter Cagner at ""A Cut Above Painters"" was hired by myself to paint my house on 9/30/2013. At first, Peter seemed nice and professional, but I was fooled. When Peters crew started painting my house, they injected what appeared to be white caulking into the settling cracks on the stucco. They then painted primer over the cracks and rubbed it with their fingers to spread it out. Once the house was painted, Peter and his crew were in a big rush to get out of here. I told them I was having dinner with my family, but still they kept rushing me to come outside so that I could pay them and have them leave. I did not get a chance to do a walkthrough to notice the paint running down my driveway, the overspray on my garage door, the timer for my backyard lights hanging halfway off the wall etc. I had pointed out to Peter that there were several areas on my house that the texture didn't match after they painted my house (these were the areas that his employees filled with white caulking like material). Peter said ""give it 7 to 10 days, and once the paint is dried, it will go away."" I waited several days, and called Peter to come fix it. At that point, Peter was always on other jobs (supposedly), and never had time to come back out. Over a week and a half or more, Peter finally had one of the painters (Who Peter Claimed Was Living At His House) to come over and spray the stucco on the areas where they filled with a caulking like material. Since then, Peter has not showed back up to fix my house. I was texting with him on a Sunday because his service is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Peter said, he was going to come Wednesday, but since I was bothering him, now he was going to come Saturday. What a loser. They stated my house on 9-30-2013 and today is the 26th of October, and my house still has white stucco sprayed all over it, and Peter will not come back to fix it now that he has his money. Buyer Beware - it appears that Peter has his license suspended on the California State License Board for failure to comply with an outstanding civil judgement. I can only assume, he has done this to people more than one time. If I were you, I would run the other way, and hire someone who has a license in good standing. I would bet that Peter will do this again to someone. Don't let it be you.\r more

Corona Has thier Best Painter "By Far" A Cut Above Painters 3/10/2012

I Hired A Cut Above Painters to Paint my Newly buying our new Home in Corona, and I have to Say it was the Best Choice I have made Since Marrying my Lovely Wife. I received 4 bids, 1 was a nationwide franchise, 2 were absolutely terrible experiences at the front door, and then there was peter from A Cut Above Painters. He was the most knowledgable, the only one who didnt brag about how great he was and how many houses he painted in the area, He just came to my new home, listened to exactly what myself and my wife were interested in, answered our questions, didn't try to sell me anything we didn't need, He just took the time to make sure we understood exactly what the job entailed, what kind of paint and sheen was going to be best for the finish and result we were interested in, He actually gave us the impression he was loooking at our home as if he was going to paint his own, and I really liked that. Peter Never talked Money and tried to down play the other contractors, He never pressured us that he was so busy that we had to make a decision or we would not be able to get our home painted in time for our move in, Peter just took accurate measurements, inspected every room, explained that square footage did not matter unless we were painting the floor or ceiling which really made sense because we were not painting either. He pointed out that all rooms are different, and that higher ceilings meant more wall area and more open rooms meant less. After he finished his evaluation he gave us a full fan deck to start looking at colors for sampling, and excused himself telling us we would have our estimate delivered later that day by email for us yo look over in private. The proposal was itemized by area and included all the areas with number of coats. His Quote was not the least but it was right in our budget. When we asked his schedule he said he would paint as soon as we picked colors, which we did over the weekend, and tru to his word he was there ready to go. The Job went flawlessly, He had his guys Paint accent walls for us at no charge , which we were sceptical about doing at first, but after Peter added his personal custom touch to our home, we felt like we were living in a Model. The Job Completed 1 day ahead of schedule, and on our final walk through we had maybe 2 places which needed slight touch up. The Clean up was the best part, as a welcome home present as he put it, peter hired a Maid Service to do a Initial Cleaning which A Cut Above painters Paid the 1st Hundred Dollars of and we were more than happy to make up the difference. it was a total surprise, and one which put the icing on the cake as far as we were concerned. We never thought that having a contractor come into our home could be such a pleasurable experience, and one we wish we could repeat more often. I think the only draw back is we were treated so well by Peter and his guys that when we need to have other work done on our home, he set the bar so high, the other contractors will have a hard act to follow. We are going to paint the exterior later this year and we are already looking forward to having A Cut Above Painters Back Out for the Job. Great Job, You made Our House Buying Experience and Move in the Most Pleasurable Experience we could have ever expected to have. I will recommend A Cut Above painters to ALL of our friends family and new neighbors. Thank you Again Guys!! J and A Stone Formerly of Irvine and Now Happy Residents of Corona CA more
