Great place to take your dogs! I 5/25/2012

Great place to take your dogs! I wont trust my two dogs symba and mini with anyone else, one of them can be an escape artist so they board her in their secure heavy duty kennel. Have had training through them and also boarding many times, dogs are always dead tired when I pick them up and snore the whole ride home. So flexible with dropping them off it makes everything so easy plus they give a great discount and pretty much charge for one kennel for the both of them to stay together. more

We are Happy 8/13/2011

Been with these folks a while now. They have had my senior dogs who have now passed on (at age 13 and 14) and when we got a new dog, they helped get him started right. There was never a charge with the old dogs to give them medicine or special diet, etc. It was a shock to our family to have a new puppy after the wonderful dogs we had but the folks here helped us make the transition and took the time to educate us and teach our new dog some very good manners, more

Best Dog Kennel 8/6/2011

We have been boarding our dog at A Canine Experience for about 8 years. They really care about each dog and even provide individualized training if requested. They do a great job and we would not board our dog anywhere else! more

Great place to take your dog! 6/20/2011

Great place, located right on Highway 9. Ran by Nancy Bear and her family. They treat our dog as one of their own. Very reasonably priced for daycare. Our dog sleeps for 2 days straight after attending the day care two days a week. We highly recommend them. more

Great Place for dogs 6/20/2011

I recently used A Canine Experience for my two dogs. When I picked them up they seemed very happy. When I toured the kennel, it was clean and all the dogs seemed content. My dogs get to play with other dogs while they are there too. I took my dogs back the other day and they were very excited to see the friendly staff at A Canine Experience. I would highly recommend this kennel. more

A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! 6/17/2011

After reading the reviews I was confident I was sending my two dogs to a good kennel for boarding. My german shepherd and maltese were nervous when I dropped them off, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The environment seemed to be very pet friendly and catering to the animals. As I left I felt calmer and less worried about leaving them. But this is where it ends. On my return to pick them up, my german shepherd was exciting to see me but she wanted to leave asap! She greeted excitedly but then she went straight to the exit door to depart! The main reason why I am only giving 1 star is because of my maltese. When they returned her to me her bottom half of her body (including her hind legs) were covered in pee. This can only tell me that they left her in her kennel for a long period of time, did not take her out on her potty breaks, did not clean her kennel, but most of all I feel as if they neglected her. I've had my maltese for 15 years and never ever had this type of problem with another boarder. I have boarded her at other places and I have never received her covered in pee. My heart went out to my two dogs. I will not be sending my dogs back to A Canine Experience. more

My dog couldn't be happier! 7/28/2010

This has been the best kennel I have boarded at yet. Everytime I've called, the employees might or might not remember my name, but as soon as I say my dog's name, they know who I am. He starts wagging his tail as soon as we pull in to the parking lot, let alone the office! Pros: My dog LOVES the employees, they always have room for him! Cons: None that I can think of! more

Wow 7/23/2010

Wow. I agree with all the excellent recommendations. My dog gets excited going there, too. I had training done and not only was my dog well treated, the trainer was wonderful with my children (two-legged variety). I can't imagine a better place to leave my dog-and now my cat, too. I really like the cat rooms! Pros: Family Friendly, Smallish, Knowledgable, Caring Cons: Have to book ahead-but I am learning to plan ahead! more

My dogs love it ! 7/22/2010

My dogs love it at A Canine Experience. They get to go to daycare and play with other dogs while in for boarding. They have a huge fenced park for the dogs. You can tell everyone there loves all the dogs. The staff is very knowledgeable and has given me some great training tips. They accomadate my specific needs (feeding a raw food diet). I will never take my dogs any where else. Pros: Family owned and operated, Highly experienced dog trainers more

They were fabulous! 3/22/2009

First off I want to say this place is so nice, my dog starts barking as soon as we pull into the parking lot! She greets the staff with her back end just wagging side to side! Yes, back end, not tail, she's an aussie shepherd. They have a really cool dog park, it's completly fenced in so I don't have to worry about my dog getting out and getting into a place that I can't catch her. When I go just for the dog park, it's just me out there, I don't have to worry about sharing the park with any other dogs or people, so no worries about aggressive dogs. When I leave her for boarding I don't feel guilty leaving her, I drop her off happy as a clam, and I pick her up happy but tired, and she usually spends the next day sleeping. Their trainers are great, they have an amazing amount of patience with the dogs and you can tell the dogs are well taken care of. Pros: Friendly staff, my dog is always thrilled to see them! more

an amazing transformation 11/26/2008

I brought my dog to A Canine Experiance, and at first she was a lil timid thinking it was a vet but they employees there were really welcoming and came up to her very nicely and started offering her treats and she hesitily would take them she was able to use there four acre park and run and play with other dogs along with getting some obedience training and when i came back she was a happy dog and now she loves everyone and she a completely new dog it has helped so much i can take her on walks with out her hiding away and triping me along the way, she proudly walks by myside and wants to greet everyone and every dog to. Now when I bring her as soon as we pull on to the road she is wagging her tail and barking with excitment and happy to see everyone there and they all love her and welcome her very well. I greatly recommend this place for all your dog needs they are amazing and very welcoming and they seem to treat my dog as if it was one of there own and sure they will to yours to!!!!! Pros: lots of options to satisfiy your dogs needs more

Best place ever 11/25/2008

I just recently left my dog for two weeks of training. It was the best thing I could have done for my dog. My dog learned so much, I couldn't believe the transformation. The trainers were very professional and did a wonderful job teaching me and my family. I am so happy with my dog. She is now a great family dog. I look forward to working with A Canine Experience in the future. Pros: Nice friendly staff, Great programs more

bad experience 11/19/2008

brought my greatdane in canine experience they worked with him as soon as we entered he didnt get a chance to get to know them; they put 2 training coallors on and 2 leashes bolth being yanked on so hard he was yellping stressed tail between his legs the whole time when everybody left they decided to work with him more but he was so tired and stressed all he wanted to do is liedown sothey countionued by draging him across the floor he was to stressed tired toget up . sohe finnaly got up was not happy .they then tried telling me my dog was not safe dog they said we should keep him there for 4weeks,if they could not get him trained he may have to be put to sleep. also when i took his training collar of it was so tight we almost had to use boltcutters more

Frightening Experience 11/2/2007

We brought our dog to this boarding place to stay for a week, and when we picked her up, my dog looked quite scared and seemed to be cold and shaking. Then I asked for the dog bed we brought, and when it was brought out, it was sopping wet with both water and urine! The lady didn't say much about it just said, ""Oh, she must have had an accident"", and just gave me a garbage bag for the stinky, wet bed. My dog doesn't urinate in her own bed unless she was very scared! I had a feeling that the bed was wet because they just put it on a cold, wet floor that was hosed out. I was so upset, I didn't know what to say. Needless to say, I will never subject my dog to this experience again! more

My dogs had a wonderful time in the park and learned things that made it easier to walk them and just have them around the house. The people really cared about my dogs and I felt like they really liked them. Pros: Park playtime, nice people more
