I didn't even know I wanted this, but the owner (2 years ago) explained what the process was and what it would do for my hair, which isn't really curly, but wavy and in the summer prone to frizz. After first treatment I was shocked to have silky, shiny hair! I got so many compliments that I knew I wanted to continue. I've now gone back every three months for the last 2 years for this wonderful (smell free, toxin free) protein treatment, which seals the cuticle, softens the hair and creates shine. The only trick is you HAVE to use the shampoo and conditioner that the owner creates especially for this process. If you don't, you will end up stripping your hair of the treatment (all OTC shampoos' have either sulfates or sodium or both - which strip keratin off the hair shaft). The owner creates his own line which are sulfate and sodium free AND smell great too! I was scared at first to get the Keratin treatment but when I went there to ask for an appointment, I got a 30 minute talk from the owner about the product. Then I got the cut and keratin which lasted a lot longer than they said it would. Everywhere I went people asked me about my hair, who did it, what is Keratin etc. I was stunned by my new look and felt it was finally time I had a new look, not just a new look but I could walk outside in the humidity and not have my hair frizz up.
