Being in the Moving Industry for almost three decades, I frequently read reviews on Movers. If you can't tell that all of these positive reviews are written by friend's, then your not looking close enough. If you want a better review, look at the BBB site and see how they rate. Even better, ask them for actual letters of reference that you can actually call. Do your homework before choosing your next mover. Cheap isn't always the best way to go. If you don't care about your goods, then by all means, save the $50.00 bucks and good luck. \r MOVERS WORST NIGHTMARE. THE TRUTH IS IN YOUR REPUTATION. more

I hired A and B Movers LLC in San Antonio, Tx in June 2013. I called 2 days ahead to confirm my appointment. The day of moving the movers were hours late with no advance call from the company to explain why or even a courtesy call so I wouldn't worry if they were showing up or not.\r \r The movers did finally show up 2 1/2 hrs late. I don't expect that everyone that works as a mover should look like a business professional but they shouldn't look like they were recently released from prision. Looks aren't everything and they were very polite. I had everything ready for them to move as they arrived.\r \r At one point during the move one of the movers picked up 2 large heavy paintings by the steel wire; one in each hand. I immediatly noticed that he was bouncing them up and down by the wire to check the strength so I offered to carry one. Seconds after carrying my own painting the painting that A and B movers was carrying was dropped and the frame was broken. Not long after the frame was broken on the way to our new home the glass was shattered as well.\r \r I do understand that accidents do happen and my main complaint about the damage was that the company has little concern with replacing or repairing the painting. I've contacted ""Alex"" in the San Antonio office several times and he is either unreachable or when he can be reached he often gives a further date as to when a decision can be made.\r \r First response, the movers insisted that they needed to take the painting with them and that the company would repair it. Second response, I called ""Alex"" at A and B Movers and he assured me that it would be repaired and that he would speed up the process and that it would take just a few weeks. After that, I sent a formal claim certified mail to A and B Movers. Several phone calls and a month later, I still have no answer from A and B Movers and ""Alex"" as to what resolution they have come to since at this time they are no longer honoring their word.\r \r At this time, A and B Movers are still not willing to provide an answer as to how they intend to repair or replace my property but have given myself an overwhelming impression that they likely just hope that this all goes away without correcting their actions. A and B Movers main argument today was that I signed a contract and that they are in their legal right but A and B Movers have totally ignored customer satisfaction and are just in a hurry to get $200 or more from someone else and not worry about what the consequences are.\r \r A and B movers are just shy of a small business scam. Their employees appear scary to say the least and are not exactly the best company for women concerned about safety. They didn't show up on time and when my personal property was damaged they had little to no concern with repairing or replacing but were in a hurry to try to excuse themseles from liability. I've used these guys twice and I've had an EXECELLENT experience both times. Two different crews but the same great service. Give them a call, a great value. more

GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! Recently, we needed to have a large printer moved from our office to a client's office. I checked around and came across A & B Movers. From the moment I called, they listened and made sure they understood what I needed. They gave me options. They made an appointment when I needed it. When their staff came, the gentlemen were very courteous. They quickly, but carefully, moved the printer. I didn't have to worry. The next time I need a large piece of equipment moved, I won't need to call around. All I'll need to do is call A & B Movers. more

Excellent results with this company. They were punctual and took great pride and care of our belongings. All items moved were in the same condition as they were prior to moving. We would highly recommend this moving company to anyone we know moving. more

They packed everything in record time and were ready to go in an hour. We stopped to drop of a bed frame & mattress and set off for my condo. Arrival there and unloading was very swift and efficient and they were more than happy to accommodate my request to store some stuff in my storage and even helped relocate some stuff from my condo to the garage. AWESOME service and it came in under the estimate. Can’t say enough good things about these guys and I will certainly use and recommend them to all. more

Way to go A & B Movers, your movers were impressive! My husband and I didn’t think they would be able to put everything on one truck, but we watched them wrap and load our things and was surprised at how everything fit. Those guys did a hell of a good job from the beginning to the end of our move!!!! We will be recommending you guys. more

\r I hired A & B Movers to move my two-bedroom apartment. I scheduled my appointment with an arrival time between 2 and 4pm, because I was not able to pick my keys up to my new place until 1pm. A & B Movers called me at 3pm apologizing and letting me know that the crew that was assigned to my job would be running late due to the job they were on before mine and they would be in contact with me on a time they would be arriving. I thought to myself oh no I would not be moved until real late. They surprised me and called me at 4pm letting me know my crew would be arriving at 4:30pm. I was worried but at 4:30 my moving crew showed up. The crew was great and did apologized for their delay and got right to work. They were a great crew and moved my stuff in a professional manner and in the time I was told. I understand delays do happen but you did keep me informed. Thank you A & B Movers for a job well done! more

I moved out of my daughter’s home and into my own place and hired A & B Movers. The two gentlemen that were sent to do my move were just so nice, polite and helpful. They had my furniture and things moved to my new place so fast and of course without damages. Not sure if I will be moving anytime soon but I will call them when I do. I want to say Thank you for all their fine work. more

Just called A&B movers, the worst customer service EVER!! Sean claims to be the owner (hmmm) and also Sean is rude as hell! He got upset right from the beginning because I asked for the “special” and did NOT match the “special"" that they have on the magnets going on at all the doors at the apartment complex that I reside. Anyways he told me to flip the magnet and to read the description of the ""special"" and I'm like ""what other side? It’s not other side, it’s a magnet!!! Sean is like oh well, it does not matter...blabla bla. The thing is that the magnet with the “special is just a catch, it is not a special!!! BE AWARE. And then I ask about how many guys he sends, and also wanted to know if they have insurance and I give him a scenario of what happens if they dropped my washer and dryer? After that he got very upset and told me that I better look for another company to do my moving! WOW I wonder why? Maybe because I’m very picky on who is to move my things around? And maybe Mr. Sean is not the owner and he care less about other people’s things!! And if he is the owner than he really needs to care more. Do not call this ""company"" do not take chances with your expensive items. more

OMG, I was just moved by Ramey and Harry from A & B Movers and they are the best movers that have ever moved me ever!!! They were both very friendly and very, very helpful. They moved me in the allotted time I had and I still had some time left over. They were that good, and everything was moved. I had lost my job and did not have much money but Raymond at the office was able to help me and send me the two greatest guys ever. Thank you Raymond and Ramey and Harry of course!!! You are all awesome and I will call on you again as soon as I am ready to move again!!!! more

Isreal and Josh did a solid job moving us. They hustled and got the job done as quickly and safely as possible. The price was good too. under $300 for 4 hours of hard work. There truck was a little beat up, but they still did a fine job. I would ask for them personally if I schedule a move with A&B in the future. more

A&B operates under several diff company names...Free Apartment Movers is one of them also. \r \r They hire from the SA jail downtown and also ""hired help."" You want to save some money and have a newly freed prison inmate in your house then, by all means, hire these guys.\r \r Just take a look at some of the people that get out of their ""trucks."" Their ""trucks"" are rolling violations that are not registered, not licensed and not DOT regulated. Why? Because Texas is an unregulated state. They drip oil and transmission fluid wherever they are parked.\r \r They move there office quite frequently to avoid problems...currently they are located on Warfield St. off of Nakoma and 281 S. Drop by their office and see what a ""classy"" operation they run. LOL! \r \r I know this info because they were supposed to move me but never showed up. I did some research since I have friends who are detectives. After running license plates, looking up dba's and other research I have determined that ANYONE WHO HIRES THESE GUYS GET WHAT THEY DESERVE! Spend the extra money and get a reliable company. I thank God they didn't show up. Any positive review of this company on this site is bogus...I looked up where the post came from and backtracked it to people associated with the company. \r \r Contact the Texas Department of Transportation on their website and report these guys. If enough get reported they will step in and shut them down. Don't let these degenerates into YOUR house! You will be sorry. I promise! more

I can clearly see that all of the previous reviews were written within days of eachother so I can only assume they are all from the company themselves. They arrived on time but spent the next 30 minutes going to the BATHROOM 4 times. No uniforms at all. One guy looked homeless with no teeth (no... i'm serious.) He smelled like alcohol BAD. He dropped both of my couches twice and let 2 boxes of vinyl records fall off the dolly and roll down the ramp not once....but THREE times!!! I finally had to stop them and have them send out a different crew who then lifted my couch by himself thinking he is He-man and snapped the main wood support to the whole thing. At the end of this huge mistake he straight added his own numbers wrong and was wanting me to pay over a hundred more than what his own numbers added up to. I have used movers for over 10 years (I move almost yearly) and these are by far, the WORST. more

I used A & B Movers to move my one bedroom apartment from San Antonio to Austin. Overall it was a pleasant experience. They were on time, uniformed and seem very professional. I would surely use them again if I have to move. more

A & B Movers was the best idea ever. The guys were nice, efficient, and thorough. What else could you ask from movers?! I just showed them where all the furniture and boxes were that needed to be moved and 30 minutes later it was all in the truck. They brought everything in quickly at my new resident and asked me exactly where I wanted things. I will be using the same guys to move me out next October and each time I need to move anywhere! more

This company has awesome people working for them. The staff that answered the phone when I called they were very friendly and helpful with explaining how their company does business. I went with their hourly rate which I found very reasonable even with a small fuel charge. The movers were great! I will be using A & B Movers again! more
