This was my 4th time using this company and this time I was not completely satisfied at all. I used them 11/26/10, I requested 3 men only 2 showed up, I was told the 3rd man sprung his ankle and that is why he did not show, however the last 30 mins of the move he showed up and his ankle was not hurt at all. He actually was surprised when I mentioned it. The truck they came in did not have their name on it (it didnt have a name at all)and it was dirty and got grease of some sort on one of my chairs. There was also dust on my couch and chair from the truck. I advised them the number of rooms that I was moving from and guess what the truck would not hold all of my furniture we had to hire someone else to come get the things that would not fit. The two movers acted as if they did not know what they were doing, they moved very slow. My family ended up helping break down the beds and loading the truck and when we got to the new location we helped move the things off the truck, We put our own beds up and hooked up our own washer and dryer. I am beginning to wonder if I should have gotten some of my money back because we did alot of the work that was suppose to have been done by them. I called the owner he was out of town and did tell me the two men I had were two of his best workers. I will say they were very nice and did move the part they moved without any damage, I just was not pleased with us having to help and the truck not being big enough and dirty on the inside and no company name listed. I am not sure if the company has downgraded because the previous times I used them they were excellent. I am not going to say not use them because they are a good company I just don't know what happened on this move. more

Andrew's Affordable Moving recently packed and moved my mom and her precious possessions across town after living in her home for almost 50 years...and I am happy to say that it was all delivered in perfect condition. I recently moved from a 3rd floor apt to a 3rd floor apartment in Harbortown. Andrew's Affordable Moving was the only company that I called that did NOT charge extra for stairs or to move on Sunday. And they allowed me to use the $25 internet coupon as well!! The movers were on time, courteous, professional, experienced and fast despite the heat. I would highly recommend this company! The movers did a good job but ended up leaving 3 large items behind in my old backyard (obviously had been set aside to get to a table but then forgotten). I discovered the items the next morning (a Wednesday) when I went back to the old residence. I called that day to let the company know the items had been forgotten. Nothing showed up by Friday so I called again; the company owner that I talked to said he had not received that message and that they were booked up and would try to get back over to the old house the next week. As of today (Tuesday) I had not seen or heard from them so I called again and got a major runaround with the owner basically telling me they wouldn't go back to pick up the stuff. When I asked if I hired someone else to pick up the stuff and send him the bill, he said I could but he wouldn't have to pay it. Grrrr!!!! more

I wouldn't recommend that anyone use this company to move. We received a quote that included an extra $350 for boxes and packing supplies. What we received was 54 used boxes with other peoples names and destinations written on them. Our house was 2700 square feet. Apparently, we would've needed many more than 54 boxes. Used boxes aren't necessarily a problem either, I've used them many times to move, courtesy the local liquor store. The only difference is that they were FREE. After many calls to the company (someone was eternally on vacation), we finally received a call back, informed them 54 used boxes, 54 rolls of tape(?), and no bubble wrap for $350 was totally unacceptable. About 2 days later, we received about 3 HUGE stacks of broken down used boxes. I was told they were cheaper. For who? My $350 price never changed. I checked with U-Haul, and I would've gotten 148 new boxes and packing supplies for $379. We finally received the bubble wrap about a week and a half later. We should've run screaming at this point, we should've gone with the moving company that had the higher quote, but we were moving then within days. The guys that did the actual leg work worked hard. My problems are not with them in particular. The worst part of this, is that we used our credit card to pay off the balance at the end of our move. They don't carry a card reader with them, so they called and read the number to someone. A week later, we received a call from our bank's fraud dept. asking if we charged $10,000 starting the day AFTER WE MOVED. Somebody paid off multiple T-Mobile & Comcast bills among other things. We had not used that card in over one year. I'm not accusing anyone in particular of robbing us, but, it appears Airborne does not have a very secure system. Luckily, it's under investigation, and we aren't responsible for any of it. Our experience with this company was horrendous. I wouldn't let this company move my garbage to the curb. I made an appointment for them to get to my apartment to move between 11-1. I wanted an early time because there was supposed to be a thunderstorm after 4 and I had to be out of my apartment on this day. Pros: didn't break anything Cons: super late, no answer at office, owner will hang up on you more

The first time they came they were late, and then they said they could not move my stuff because it wasn't packed properly. Fine. So I packed it to their specifications and rescheduled. The second time, one of the guys came into the front room, then turned and walked out. They stood in my yard and talked for about five minutes, then came back and told me their truck frame was cracked and I had too much stuff. They would have to come back tomorrow with another truck. Well this is annoying but ok. I waited and waited the next day, no show. When I called, the owned CURSED AT ME! Telling me my apartment was dirty, there was ""sh** everywhere"" and they just couldn't risk getting SICK MOVING MY STUFF! This is an absolute lie. The owner believed his employees who lied to me about why they didn't want to move my stuff, and lied to him about my apartment. I don't know what was wrong with these men that work for this mover, but they barely even looked at my apartment. There is NOT ""sh** everywhere"". And all of my stuff was packed to THEIR specifications. DO NOT USE THIS MOVER! They are inconsiderate, dishonest, and the OWNER feels it appropriate to CURSE AT CUSTOMERS! I used Airborne to move into my first home back in 1993 and was glad to see that when i needed a mover once again that they were still in business and bigger and better than ever. I compared prices to be sure as cost is very important but chose Airborne based on their knowledge and experience.
