Picked up my 9 over 1 double hung windows last week, had them primed at A & A, worth the extra couple dollars. As usual the jambliners fit like a glove, had to make a slight angle...

Picked up my 9 over 1 double hung windows last week, had them primed at A & A, worth the extra couple dollars. As usual the jambliners fit like a glove, had to make a slight angle adjustment and presto!!!! Windows upper and lower were perfect. I simply can't say enough for the quality of product that comes out of A & A millwork and when I had a question for Mark he interrupted his lunch to help me out. A & A is second to none!!!!!! more

awesome experience!!! 9/30/2013

Mark is the best... he custom made maple handrails for our cabin in Hayward. He was the only outfit in town that would take on this project. Attention to detail is what A & A is all about. Don't use anyone else! more

A & A Millwork is fantastic! 9/5/2013

I have used A & A Millwork for years. They are VERY PROFESSIONAL, great to work with and always provide the best service. I have an older home (built in the '30s) in St. Paul and A & A Millwork has been able to restore damaged windows, replace doors that no one else would or could work on. Mark and Cassandra and their team take the extra time to make sure the job is done right the first time. I strongly encourage everyone to use A & A Millwork. In todays pre-fab world it is nice to know that a company like A & A still takes the time to do the job right. more

Wonderful service. Quality workmanship and products. 6/17/2013

We bought a 1938 stone home in North Central Minnesota. A&A Millwork had no issues coming to measure, build and install our windows and our front door, even though we are 2 1/2 - 3 hours away. The service we have received has been excellent and they have been very patient and helpful with our selections and decision making. The windows are worth every penny, the quality is far above the rest. I cannot say enough good about Mark, Michael and Jimmy, and everyone else at A&A Millwork. more

Windows and interior doors 6/4/2013

We chose to work with A&A 3 years ago in part because they are a neighborhood company. I have an old (1906) house near 38th St and Cedar Ave with odd sized doors upstairs, two of which needed replacing. A&A created new doors to match the others, found matching hardware and made appropriate adjustments to the frames to make them fit. We were so happy with the door work that last year we asked A&A to replace our old leaky windows. Mark matched the new windows to the old so you cannot now see a difference. Not only is the house much less drafty with a lower winter heat bill, but the house is much quieter. The auto shop across the street has many late night tow truck deliveries, which no longer wake us up or interrupt our TV watching. Not sure what the next project will be, but A&A will be the top of my list for help. more

I had water damage in my back bedroom two years ago from an ice dam. 5/30/2013

A and A Millwork did an excellent job of replacing my old birch window that was badly damaged by water from an ice dam. They put in a new birch window that matched my other bedroom window perfectly! I love the work that they did. And they helped maintain the quality of woodwork in my home which was built by a master craftsman. They also worked very quickly! more

High quality work for replicating and installing period millwork. 5/26/2013

I needed various mouldings, a replicated 2 panel door in fir, and bifold closet doors created to replicate missing woodwork in my home. Mark at A&A Millwork was extremely helpful in working with me to understand what I wanted and what made the most sense to install. The replicated profiles and doors were exact matches to existing pieces. I had A&A Millwork install the new woodwork, including baseboards, door trim, and the new doors. The install was first rate. If you care about maintaining the character of your period home, you should contact A&A Millwork. more

Professional, competent and customer-oriented 5/7/2013

I had wood combination storms installed on my porch. I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. They even painted them for me and helped me get a discount at the paint store. Everyone was friendly, competent, and professional. I look forward to working with them again on other house projects. more

Replacement windows 4/11/2013

We purchased and installed replacement windows and wood combination storms. We love them and they work great. We continue to get other sales people stopping by to sell us new windows because they look original in our 1913 house. more

Stressful job made easy!!! 3/29/2013

We had all the windows and doors replaced in our home, which seemed like a daunting task in the thought stage. After meeting with Mark and his highly qualified staff, that stress turned to relief! They even custom made our picture window!!! We couldn't be more satisfied! Not only is the staff knowledgeable, but they are FUN too! We would highly recommend them for all of you woodworking needs! (especially on an older home) more

Great company to work with 3/22/2013

We needed a new front door and couldn't stand the thought of buying from one of the big box stores. I found A&A through a Google search. Went to their showroom and was very impressed with their products but most of all their service and craftsmanship. They pay attention to the smallest details and they get it right. Mike (the door installer)replaced our front door and left his area cleaner than how he found it. We couldn't be happier. more

I have been working with AA Millwork for the past 5 years. They have great competitive prices and will work with you match or beat a competitors price. The customer service is awesome as well and will work with you find or get the product you are looking for. They are totally custom and can cut, plane and saw any piece of wood to your specifications. They a large selection of doors,wood hardware and other products to choose from. They also have custom installation available which I would recommend. more

Installed a new custom door in my 1928 bungalow, slab door installed into the existing frame, Mark and his team of specialists custom fit the door to the opening and completed the work on time and as promised. Installed custom rain glass in the windows of the door for privacy to add some of the historic style detail in the new door. The door seals tight and has increased the energy efficiency of my home. Much better quality and service than the big box stores. more

Quality products, knowledgeable staff, couldn't be happier! 3/4/2013

Last summer we decided to begin replacing the windows in our 1925 craftsman style house. We stopped by A&A and spoke with Mark, I told him about our home and how we wanted new windows that looked the same as our old ones. Mark took his time, showed us our options, and answered all of our questions. He then came to our house to get measurements of all of our windows to ensure the new windows would match the old ones. When Mark's crew came out to install the windows they were able to install all 10 of the windows we replaced in a few hours and left absolutely no mess. The paint and stain job matches our original woodwork and looks amazing! We get so many compliments, and are looking forward to working with A&A again to replace the rest of our windows. We also had A&A do some rot repair on our house last fall. The staff was able to replace all of the rotted sections of our window and dripedge without disturbing our stucco siding. We love the attention to detail and the quality of craftsmanship Mark and his team puts into every project. We look forward to working with A&A in the future. more

excellent workmanship great customer service very flexible 3/4/2013

AA Millwork has installed several new windows for me and I can't say enough about how great they look and work. I worked with the owner Mark and his carpenter Jim. I have an old house and their ability to understand the characteristics of an old house gave me confidence in what they suggested in replacing my windows. They also replaced my wood molding and closet door. It all looks beautiful. I definitely would recommend AA Millwork for any of your house needs. If they are unable to do it, they would recommend someone who could. more

Window repair, Custom Front door 2/28/2013

Last Thanksgiving my nephew didn't know his own strength and hit a baseball through our attic window of our 100 year old South Mpls. home. We checked around and not only did we find that Mark at A&A Millwork was competitive in price, he was willing to recreate the original window we had. It looks fabulous and we couldn't be happier. We were so happy that when we needed to replace our mission style front door, we knew just where to go! Mark and Sandy at A&A were incredibly helpful and had it installed by one of their fabulous team members in a timely manner. more
