A & A Millwork

We have used AA Millwork multiple times for projects with our 1911 arts & crafts house in St. Paul. They have great experience and expertise with older homes. They have been very courteous and detailed in the planning and implementation of our projects. They have hardworking and very skilled workers. They were able to match and mill our trim to fit in with the style of our house. We used them for storm windows as well and they were great! We feel very lucky to have a such a great local resource and business focused on doing things the right way! more

What initially attracted me to A&A Millwork was their advertised expertise on older homes. Then I was very pleasantly surprised when I went on a tour of their HUGE shop right in the city which enables them to customize to specific client's needs! Since my first window sill rot repair job, I have gone to them for 3 more jobs, including new cedar roofing on my gazebo. I really like Mark's flexibility with scheduling, his wide range of expertise and his keen attention to detail. The staff at A&A are all very professional but friendly and quite efficient to work with. A&A Millwork is not the cheapest contractor I could find but they're worth the extra bucks for good quality. I would gladly recommend A&A, especially for owners of 'older' homes. more

I have been coming to a&a millwork since they were located on lake street in 1982! I have had all my windows in my home replaced with the tilt pack windows and custom moulding as well! They have A1 quality! They are the top of the line historically correct custom millwork, doors, & windows business! I wouldn't go anywhere else! They are the best in the Midwest! more

I own a bungalow in south Minneapolis. The front and back doors needed replacing. I wanted to replace the metal doors with wooden doors. Mark and Cassandra showed me the options and offered lots of advice. The new doors are beautiful and installing them has been an incredible way to update my home. I first went to A&A Millwork in 1997 after a careless roofing contractor destroyed the crown molding on the outside of my 1940's vintage home. I looked all over Minneapolis for the same molding but couldn't find it a standard lumber yard. Mark and Keith went out of their way to reproduce the molding with the orginal profile and exact thickness. They even found extra long lengths of lumber so that the moldings could be replaced in one run, not pieced together. Once the molding was painted and installed it looked better than the original. I am so grateful to Mark and Keith for their great attention to detail. Their motto "Do It Right The First Time!" is proudly displayed in the office and they are true to that motto at A&A Millwork! more

A&A installed new screens/storms on all my doors at home as well as one new door to replace an old steel one. They also provided new doors/screens and a butcher block counter top for my cabin up north. They tell you exactly how much it will cost before you order. They were most helpful in figuring out how to deliver the products to northern MN to my cabin. I have recommended them to several friends who have all had good experiences. I wouldn't go anywhere else. more

A & A Millwork put a new door on my garage. To do that, they had to take off the old door and clear a new opening. They did it nice and smoothly. There was no need for stucco repair. It looks just like it fits in with the style, and it works perfectly. Everything is painted inside and out, so it won't rot from the inside. We've had it through summer, fall, and winter now, and the door opens and shuts without binding. more
