911 Driving School

Mr. Mierke, My son had taken his driver's test with 911, his test was with a gentleman by the name of Jerry. This man was very rude and sarcastic with him, by starting the drive off making fun of my son's last name...I guess that was his way of breaking the ice, but because of how condescending he sounded it only added more tension. ...my son failed the test, which was on my sons shoulders. Jerry continued to lecture and blame it on the fact that we didn't do the drive school at 911. He was very unprofessional and obnoxious while explaining why Matthew didn't pass. I would have rather he handed the paper over and read why then listening to him be so rude. He chose to take his test at 911 because his friends recommended it. He wanted to still re-take his test there but did not want to take it with Jerry. unfortunately he didn't pass , the instructor that gave him that test was so nice, and made Matthew feel that it was ok, just try again! So, Matthew still wanted to take his third, and happy to say his final, drive test with Brett! He was great too! While waiting to take the test with Brett we were sitting outside and Jerry was walking out with a student and he asked her if she taken the classes at 911, she said yes and he replied "then I shouldn't have to tell you how to start the car, if you have taken it here". That was very unprofessional. I have a daughter that will be driving soon, and I am not sure if I will bring her here because of Jerry. Word of mouth is a very strong way to advertise, and i will tell everyone i know about our experience with Jerry. Now that the state no longer gives the test, that gives the consumer the opportunity to shop around. Having instructors like Jerry may hurt 911 driving schools reputation. Kristi M. Our youngest (of 4) just completed his driver's ed course with 911. We came to 911 after our experiences with two different driving schools with the older three kids, and had chosen the other two based on price and location to our home. Both the extra money and extra drive to classes were completely worth it! 911 has a fantastic website that provides accurate information. They post their office hours and someone answers the phone when I call. Or if I had to leave a message, it was always returned the same day. The Schedule Agent system for scheduling drives is very convenient. The office staff was always friendly and professional when I stopped in to ask questions or take care of business. Their classroom accommodates all students comfortably. I was told when I registered my son that I would need to stay for an orientation on the first day of class (not the case with the last school). I can't recommend 911 Kent enough! more

I was really skeptical at first when i found out all of the testing was now done at driving schools, and even more so that i had to make an appointment just to take a knowledge test. However, after taking the test with NO LINE! And being able to get my permit the same day, i am so happy. Compared to the DOL, this place is heaven. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to test. I called other places before i chose here, and they were just all rude to me. Dont waste your time anywhere else, just go here! more

when went to go take knowledge test, i was told i did not need to make an appointment which is also not on the website to make one... i took my knowledge test that day and was told i passed and was very exicted. when i went to the DOL to get my permit i was told there was a fail test grade in there... when i went back to 911 thinking it was a mastake i was told that i in fact did fail and when i asked well then why did they circle pass? all i got was "i dont know" umm alright? you just work here? you shouldnt know that answer right? thanks for all the wasted gas. more

The instructors were outstanding. Better yet were the front desk staff who seemed to be willing to go above and beyond. Larissa was very helpful everytime I inquired and her professionalism surpassed her years. Thank you! more

I must say I was thoroughly impressed with 911 driving school. I am a 53 year old client that lost his license due to taking my prescription drugs as prescribed, so it was nice to have a mature gentleman take me for a test. Please look him up and say thank you for being so amicable. Great class, good attitude, clean facility - you run an impressive tight ship - hats off to you all at Kent 911 Driving School! more

The instructors at 911 Driving School - Kent are super friendly. They were always trying to get us involved in the classes. They didn't just want us to go through the class but made sure we all understood everything before we got on the road. They definitely prepared me for my driving test. more

The Staff is genuinely concerned about these kids getting out on the road and provides them the tools and knowledge to do so safely. Plus they provide parents with emails to help reinforce the training at home and Texts for drive time reminders. In today's world it helps to have teachers and staff who are willing to take their time, getting to know these kids and then treating them as adults when it comes to driving. I know my son is a safe driver and when he will be on his own, with friends, he will be a safe & extremely smart driver. That is a priceless Gift ~ Thank you 911! more

As a student who went through this driving school I was very pleased with my experience. The program as a whole is entertaining and completely different from any other driving school that I have ever heard of. The fact that students are learning from Police Officers is something that is so priceless, there is not a better way to learn how to drive and not a better way to learn the rules of the road. The stories and the experiences that each officer has to share are so impacting and real that it really makes the student understand why it is so crucial to be a safe and aware driver. None of my friends while I was going through Drivers Ed attended 911 Driving school. The experiences that they shared with me about their driving schools were absolutely horrid. They seemed to get no attention from their instructors and the driving schools just clearly covered the basics and that is all they cared about. With 911 Driving School this is not something that will ever happen. Each instructor takes immense time with their students to make sure that they get the full impact of Drivers Ed. 911 Driving School is hands down the best driving school out there! There is no better school around! more

This driving school is excellent. The teachers are fun and really know what they're teaching. It's pretty slow-paced also it's easy to remember everything you have to learn. However, it's fairly expensive and pretty long, but worth it. more

I've had two kids go through 911 Driving School in Kent. Both kids are good drivers now. My son, who has been driving four years now, is getting a good driver discount with our insurance. Both of them enjoyed the classes. My daughter tells me the rules of the road, not that I need them, but she really retained a lot of the information. I find that encouraging. The staff is great, and the kids have a lot of respect for them and seem to enjoy the classes. I know I enjoyed watching them and speaking to the staff. more

I really liked the 911 Driving School of Kent. The school was awesome, and the instructor was very cool and personable. I have recommended them to others. It was really nice that I learned from an instructor with real life experience. That gave the course more purpose. more
