Finally got around to trying 821 last night and have to say we were disappointed. The food was just so-so and our server clearly had no clue (Although he was pleasant enough). When asked for a starter recommendation he completely fumbled. We didn't even ask him to compare 2 or 3, just asked him what he liked. It was clear he hadn't tasted much and hadn't thought about what he did taste. Hubby had the beef carpachio starter over a mayonaissy ceasar salad. The carpacchio was excellent but the ceasar was not a strong accompaniment. HUbby's main course of scallops was disappointing. Portion was tiny and taste was unremarkable (Plus one scallop was sandy). One of us always orders scallops if on the menu. He also had a horrible glass of concannon chardonnay. It was sour and tasteless. I had the mozarella as a starter (which was good) and the stuffed pork chop. Would really have appreciated if the server had let me know the porkchop was stuffed with the same mozarella (I would have ordered something different). It was difficult to tell from the menu description just what you were getting. The side of gnocchi bolognese was delicious but could have used about 2x the gnocchi. Wound up finishing the sauce with the remaining bread in the basket instead of finishing the chop which was just ok. My hubby was so disappointed with the scallops we wound up going to Culinaria for dessert.\r

Before we visit again (if I can ever convince hubby to give another try) I hope the chef finds the salt shaker and they give the wait staff a little training (or at least our server). Would not recommend it considering how epxensive it was.
Pros: Ambience, location
Cons: food, service
