Thi is an outstanding business from top to bottom. I have recommended countless friends about this repair shop as I have 5 automobiles they have serviced and I have NEVER had a problem that was not rectified with my utmost statisfaction. In fact, I take umbrage to the postings of those that feel this is not an upright business. I think those people are making those things up as I cannot imagine anyone at 59 Auto not treating customers with respect and dignity. All of the service technitions are in tune with customer service. I have had the following work done at this business. tons of oil changes with NO drippage afterwards; tire rotation; rocker arm replacement; entire brake system replacement; radiator replacment; caliper replacement; various warning light malfunctions; altenator repladement.\r They have been under price quote most of the time. I feel they are extremly honest and reputable. I totally trust this business. If there wree six stars I would give them six, but there are on more

I think they are great! I live across the street and they helped push my car across the street and fixed it up quickly in 8/09. Its been running great since. Very helpful and patient with all my questions. Feels good since I am a female to have them be so helpful. Thanks! more

We brought our car in for a full checkup in late October. All issues were fixed along with a full oil change. Since that time, we have had an oil leak. Be brought it back to correct the leak and we were told: "we wiped it up, it should be fine". Well, it's not fine. We brought it back again and we're now told it will cost $93.00 to fix the leak. Question: Why wasn't the leak found and identified with the inspection and with the oil change? And, why wasn't the cause of the leak found and identified when we brought it back the first time to be repaired? And, why did the leak start the day after the oil change? No answer. This is the second time this type of activity has happened with this shop. They get the problem fixed the first time about 65% of the time. The rest of the time, it'll cost you. To date, i have never had luck getting this shop to accepting responsibility for an improper diagnosis or poor craftsmanship. Pros: They'll drive you home when you have to leave the car. This is the best shop in Plainfield! It is the only shop i would bring my car to! i was more than happy with the quality of the work and the price. they go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. i would recommend this to everyone! they helped get me when i was stranded and even called enterprise and got me a discount on that car. i have never been to a shop that was as welcoming:) more

I came here after reading some positive statements about this shop, and am extremely dissatisfied. To make a long story short- I went to have a diagnostic done on my car because my lights were dimming and radio wasnt working. I drop the car off and an hour later they call me and tell me everything was fine, they test drove it and looks good. I hop in my car, head home and my car starts to die on the way home. I calmly call the place to tell them that I'm stranded and I just left there. They send a mechanic to jump my car and follow me back to the shop. I leave my car over night and they call me in the morning to say "Ya, looks like you need a new alternator and some belts. The alt will cost ya about 330 plus labor. And your belts about 150." (Little did they know, I did my homework and found that alts for my car run around 170-190.) When I told the women to hold off on my car, she proceeded to tell me that the alt was so high because of the "lifetime warranty" and I wont find a better deal. I tell her no. Anyway. I go to pick up my car, and they try to charge me $41.00. I asked a semingly nice lady what the charges were for, and this raging woman on the phone behing her immidiatley comes to the desk and tries to tell me that they charged me 41 for a battery charge. I told the woman that I felt it wasnt right to charge me considering I had came here the day before to specifically have something done, and it wasnt. She then threw my keys at me (mind you others are in the store) and told me she disagrees with me, that I'm out of line for even asking and on and on. Now, I am a 24, single woman, who holds a degree in customer realtions. Never have I encountered such a rude and disrespectful employee. Let alone would I ever treat a customer that way. I previously would have wrote a positive review being they did come and rescue me when I was stranded, but I will never ever return!! Pros: Sent a mechanic to jump my car, mechanics were nice. Cons: Lied about services, over priced, and rude women at check out. more

my daughter was out of town and broke down in plainfield. her car was towed to 59 auto repair, they stayed late on a saturday to look at her car, she just ran out of gas, they didnt charge her any thing but the 5 dollars in gas they put in her car. they could have told her anything being a young girl out of town but they were very honest and understanding, thank you for taking such good care of my daughter. I have been bringing my car to 59 auto for years . I have not been there for a few years because i bought a new car . At my last visit something seemed very wrong . I found that the people up front where very for the lack of a better word LOST . I later found out that the old owners where no longer there . I was having a hard time under standing what i needed and the women that work up front had no clue . I never had much problem before and if audrey could not help she would ask the mechanic to help. So i asked to talk to the tec . He was very helpful seemed to be telling me something completely different from what the girl was telling me . But he was very confident and polite and went out of his way to help me understand . the work was done and i am very happy . I find if you want to know more you need to speak to the people who know. I do not like the new owners at all but as long as the guys in the back are still doing a good job and can help me when i ask thats ok whith me . i have more

The staff at 59 Auto were great. They took the time to explain exactly what my car needed. They even let me know about repairs I could wait on. The price was good - the bill was a little under what they told me before the repair. I will be bringing my car back to 59 Auto. Pros: Staff is great more

I have found the owners, mechanics and staff at 59 Auto repair to be very honest capable people. I have never had an auto problem that they couldn't fix and at reasonable prices. As above, I highly recommend this shop when auto service work is required. more

I received a quote from 59 auto repair $1003.65 it did not show the parts & labor. Then, I went to the dealership & they quoted me a price $663.81 parts detailed and labor at 105/hour at 2 1/2 hrs. I got my car fixed @ the dealer. Pros: Thumbs down Cons: Thumbs down more

I brough my car in with a problem. They replaced a part on my car that was working and charged me $400. When I brought it back with the same issue the same day they offered no discount or refund on their mistake. They never even test drove the car to make sure the issue was taken care of. They then replaced the correct part and charged me another $550. No customer service they are all about the money and their bottom line!! BE WARE!!! more

This is the only Auto body shop I would ever consider going to. This is a very honest buisness. They will only sell you what you need and never anything more. I have been going here since I moved here and I recommend this auto shop to everyone! more
