A co-worker asked me to order a fruit basket to thank some other co-workers, so we ordered from here and had it delivered to our office. First of all the quality: it was nice, but not as nice as I expected for the price and the way it was described to me over the phone. It looked as though it should have cost half of what they charged. For an event following this one, I went to the King Soopers in Glendale to their floral department, and the fruit basket they created for $50 less than what 5280 charged was spectacular.\r \r After placing my order, I asked them to send me a receipt. I was told they only go out at month end--and that I'd get it at the end of September. It never showed up.\r \r So when I reached the deadline for turning in my company expenses and noticed I hadn't received it, I called and asked them to send it. They were curt to the point of rude, and informed me that they would do it on their own time. They refused to send it to me by the time I asked. Just plain rude on the phone.\r \r Plus, would it really take so much effort to answer the phone with the name of their business instead of a long pause and ""Hello?"" Every time I've had to call them I think I've dialed a wrong number. \r \r I won't use this company again. more

I needed a large number of stems for my daughter's wedding yesterday and looked online. I didn't have any recommendations from anyone, so took a chance with Fred and Amy. They were extremely helpful and patient and always answered emails promptly.\r \r Then, the moment of truth, the delivery. The flowers arrived early in the AM and they were...spectacular. Unbelievably gorgeous. Roses, hydrangeas, freesias, dahlias, queen ann's lace, mums, and much more. All in perfect condition. Better than I could ever have hoped for.\r \r On top of that, they included an extra large bunch of expensive David Austin roses and specialty hydrangeas in a color I had never seen before...free of charge!\r \r I am lazy when it comes to reviews and it takes a spectacularly bad or good experience for me to take the time to write. And my experience with 5280 was that good.\r \r Thanks Fred and Amy, you're top notch.\r \r more

Thumbs down! I bought ten stems of lilies several days before an event, I was promised they would be tight buds, however they already started to open. I called request return and get some fresher ones, they refused (rudely) and insisted that these would be just fine for my wedding party later that week.\r \r They were wrong I had 1/3 of the blooms unusable and many of the remaining blooms had brown spots, petals off,etc. $40 worth of flowers. I requested a refund, if not all-- at least partial. Here's there rude response:\r \r ""The Brown spots on the image are Pollen spots, that happens when you do not remove stamen in time . Petals off is another indication of bad treatment.The lilies were perfect. We have been florists for more then 30 years , and know products very well . U obviously used the product. We feel there is no need for us to discount or refund and we will pursue this trough small claims court if needed.\r \r Small claims court? really? Hopefully they will lose a lot more that $20-$40 worth of business from this review. See other reviews that supports this lack of customer service-- they really don't care if you are happy or not! more

Terrible service 8/27/2011

I placed an order for delivery for a Monday. The flowers never arrived. When I called, they were very apologetic, explaining that the order was misplaced. They offered an upgraded bouquet for delivery the next day. Even though the occasion was over (generally you do want flowers delivered on a SPECIFIC day), I accepted. The next day - no flowers. I called again. This time they weren't even apologetic. They said they couldn't find it (the address was on CU Denver campus), and couldn't find a map online. Obviously, there IS a campus map online. They never bothered to call me to let me know, and the guy seemed put off that he would be expected to actually proactively try to deliver...3 days late. There are too many florists in Denver to put up with the lazy service and bad attitudes at this place! more

Waste of time 3/16/2011

Speaking of wastes of time, running around the internet reviewing places is not normally my style, but this place is terrible. Why even have a website if it doesn't display the correct information? As far as delivering flowers goes the DELIVERY TIME should at least be accurately reflected on your site. Not only that, but when YOU SCREW IT UP don't write me rude emails full of totally unnecessary attitude. Your fault dude, not mine. Save yourself some time and attitude and order your flowers somewhere else. more

Not a good experience 12/22/2010

I ordered from this company for the first time, sending a cookie and truffle basket to my mother-in-law. The delivery was missing items in comparison to the website description. I questioned what was delivered and got this reply from the company: ""Ok Maybe the we forgot to put a leaf and a blossom . that is possible You mother made it seem like we send some kind of supermarket bag with crap , and that is absolutely not true and do not send out garbage."" A very unprofessional response and I will not order from them again. more

Great place for Flowers and Giftbaskets 2/19/2010

What a great find. I used their website for a Cookie and Brownie basket , and got a great reply from my client. Usually I do not hear much , but they called me to say how awesome the cookies and brownies were . Then I used them for a sympathy arrangement . I had a chance to see what they send to the funeral and it was better then the picture. I was impressed , and they even offer Organic and local Products. Pros: Awesome product , Organic and local products Cons: none so far more

Best Valentines Gift ever 2/18/2010

When my Valentines delivery arrived last week everybody in our office was impressed . It was a Dozen Long stem Red Roses from 5280Flowers.( the longest roses with the biggest heads I have ever seen ) in a heavy glass vase . It was so tastefully decorated with red orchids and purple fillers and unusual greenery. It is now one week later and they are still beautiful. It came with a golden box with the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries . It was super, great awesome . Best service and products ever. We have been working with 5280flowers and 5280gourmet for 3 years and they always to amaze me. Amy is always very friendly and helpfull and the consistent product they send out always gets great reviews. They have the most amazing fruit and gourmet baskets , and were able to provide them on short notice. We have used them to send thank you's for our nationwide clientele, employees, and our Christmas baskets. They send out 125 of them for us last year , nationwide and we got good feedback. They have a fabulous new baby basket that we send out to our employees that have additions to the family , as well as fantastic flower arrangements for sympathy's. Ive owned several business in downtown Denver, including nightclubs and apartments. Fred and Amy have come through for me numerous times on a moments notice. Gift baskets for VIP's... Holiday decor, 50 dozen rose arrangments and even personal arrangments for funerals and Valentines Day. I can not say enough about the great owners and staff. I would never risk using another florist for anything! I always know the the quality will be impeccable and delivery on time. You guys are awesome! Pros: Everything from friendly service and beautiful arrangments. Cons: Cant think of a single one. more

I had such a great experience with 5280 flowers! I had to send some roses out asap to my mother for her birthday and they delivered them just in time for me. They were a true life saver! She said it was a beautiful arrangement. I will definitely use them again!! more

Long lasting beautiful Roses 8/6/2007

I was super surprised by the beautiful white long stem roses that came in a nice big square vase. My 2 best friends from Holland send them to me and I am happy that they found 5280flowers online. The arrangement was beautiful and lasted for more then 3 weeks! Thanks Josette and Joyce and thanks 5280flowers. Next time I need flowers for a friend I know were to find you! more

Terrible customer care 7/20/2007

Very bad customer service. Amy was rude, and not willing to work on a resolution to the problem we were having despite the fact that the problem was created by 5280 Flowers. Not Recommended at all. There are a lot of other wonderful flower shops that will work to keep your business! more

We have used Amy (owner/florist) of 5280 for three years now whenever we have a need for a florist. Recently, we thought it would be nice to send floral arrangements to our best clients instead of poinsettas (sp?) for the holidays. We sent out 6 arrangements, and every one of the 6 recipients called to rave about the arrangement saying ""the most beautiful arrangement I've ever seen"", ""I've never seen this combination before..."", ""the way she mixes colors and textures is stunning..."". Roses Like I've Never Seen 8/22/2003

For our 5 year anniversary my husband surprised me & had 2 dozen multi-color roses sent to my office. I have NEVER seen such a beautiful bouquet. The roses are vibrant yellow, pale pink, rich red, salmon & then there are the ones that have several hues. They smell AMAZING! I hope he calls them again!!!
