5 Star Kennel Inc

This place is amazing ,after touring many kennels on long island and not satisfied with the places or the staff i asked my vet where she boards her 2 dogs she said 5 star kennel in north baldwin. I called the kennel they allowed me to come to tour the same day. This kennel had staff certified in pet care, who knew all the answers to all the questions i asked,it was clean the people were very frienly pet lovers the accomodations were great,they had 2 outside play areas as well as indoor play areas,an outdoor grassed area where i saw about 7 staff members walking dogs with a smile. The staff was happy playing with the dogs.but most of all all the pets looked well cared for and happy. I boarded my dog in march and my pets came back happy and healthy,after thanking my vet for a great recommendation i recommended them to all my friends a family. This kennel is a must see for anyone with pets more

I boarded my shepherd/lab overnight at 5-Star and will never use their services again. One night boarding and a bath were requested. She was picked up on a Sunday morning and immediately relieved her bowel outside. It was then noticed that both of her hind legs were covered in feces. We took her back inside and registered the complaint whereas the attendant took her for five minutes to clean her up. She came back out still covered on the hind legs. We left totally discouraged and brought her home. She drank two bowls of water when we got home because her tongue was white from dehydration. We then bathed her ourselves. Tuesday of the next week we had to take her to the Vet because she had developed kennel cough and was choking every time she tried to bark. The unprofessionalism displayed by 5-Star with their lack of concern for her condition at pick up time was totally unacceptable and not recommendable to dog owners wanting to use 5-Star Kennels more
