5 Star Doggy Inn

I used to go to a larger facility but they closed so early and I ended up paying a lot of money if I didn't get my dog before 7 pm - so frustrating! So, when I found 5 star I was so happy because they allow pick up until 9 pm! On top of that, one of my dogs is very people shy, but they let him come and it's done wonders for his confidence - just like the owner said it would. He even LOVES Olga and Kathy! Both my dogs truly love coming here and when I board them, they get their own room, rather than having to sleep on an open floor - and since they usually sleep in their kennels at home, this gives them the level of comfort they need. I cannot recommend this place enough. We had to move to NY, and I have yet to find a place that compares. Leelu and Yuki miss it very much! It was like leaving my dogs at a friends house. As a trainer in Los Angeles for over 20 years, I've seen many boarding facilities. 5 Star shines because the dogs can go outside to eliminate. This may seem like a little thing, but most daycare facilities are converted warehouses and the dogs do the natural thing of going away from their play area to eliminate. Thus they eliminate right where they are. If your dog's house training is weak, Five Star can keep it on track because the dog has ready access through a regular (not a doggy door) open door to the outside. Also there is separate area for little dogs that is really separate; not just a chain link fence between the two.\r \r The owner is very experienced with dogs and has gone to a lot of effort to make the facility welcoming.\r \r They are very through and painstaking in following any special diets, too.\r \r Go see this place. 5 Star Doggy Inn is really 5 STAR!!! \r \r I almost don't want to write this for fear this daycare will become over crowded, but 5 Star Doggy Inn deserves some recognition.\r \r I love my dog. In fact, I sometimes have problems calling my dog, ""my dog"" because she is more like ""the love of my life,"" and I would do anything for her. I want her to be as comfortable as she is at home and hold very high standards on how she should be treated. That is what has made it so difficult to find the right ""doggie daycare."" I have interviewed and toured 4 different doggie daycares and 5 Star Doggy Inn is by far THE BEST of them all. \r \r They have convenient hours (7am to 9pm), the staff is super nice and the facilities are the best I've seen. They are not over crowded, they keep everything very clean and welcoming and they are very firm on let letting aggressive dogs board with them (other places I have looked at will give aggressive dogs a second and third chance). Unlike many indoor daycares, they also have a grassy outside area that is open so the dogs can go in and out as they choose which reinforces the training of using the ""potty"" outside. They have great, comfortable separated areas for naptime; each having their own bed and toys. The staff knows all dogs by name and they give each dog special treatment (as oppose to other places who are there solely to keep dogs from fighting). Most importantly every dog at 5 Star Doggy Inn looked happy and my dog (who has been very nervous and timid while on tours with other daycare facilities) was excited and walked around freely, sniffing everything out.\r \r Bottom line . . . 5 Star Doggy Inn is perfect with a competent and friendly staff, happy dogs, very clean and charming facilities and convenient hours.\r Pros: Please read above.
