after going here a year ago and enjoying the great pizza and beer, what a disappointment to go tonight and feel like I got leftovers from the night before. It was horrible. Our waitress was great but my pizza was nothing but a warmed over flatbread. Sandwiches were tiny, pimiento cheese appetizer was horrible and fish taco's were warmed over. What happened to our neighborhood brewery ! We won't go back...I'm going somewhere where the food is fresh and people care... more

We went to 5 Seasons Brewery because I had a gift certificate that I had to used before it expired. The setting is casual and fun. My husband had a beer, he enjoyed it. We got an appetizer, the pimento brulee with toast points. It tasted exactly like what you get in the deli at Kroger. For my entree I chose the Hash, poached egg over corned beef hash and hollandaise sauce. It was mediocre at best. My husband had a grilled portabello mushroom sandwich which he described as average. The hand cut french fries were very good. The service was friendly, quick and good. We went $2 over the gift card and after a full tip, we spent $8 out of pocket. While it was the best $8 dinner and beer we've had, we will not be returning for (seriously) over priced mediocre food. more

We met here for Friday happy hour and this place really didn't want our business nor did they care too much about their service. We didn't plan to sit and eat and there is no place to stand and talk that you are not in the way of the staff. VERY poor layout for a bar and we didn't want to stay long enough to eat. (There is a ''cellar bar"", but it's basically a smoking room) The staff has dealt with this before and they put up with it when they weren't being borderline rude. The beer was not that great to put up with the snotty staff. The first and only visit for me. more

Sandy Springs Location: Made reservations for a New Years Even dinner. My date and I were looking forward to treating ourselves to a great meal, as we don't do so very often. To our surprise the kitchen was literally out of everything we tried to order! Apparently they had run out of steak and lamb, which are the only meats other than chicken on their menu. On top of that, they ran out of certain beers (umm, isnt this a brewery??). Needless to say, my date ordered his 3rd choice and left hungry and I ordered a side salad and an appetizer and was hungry again by the time we left. The staff was great and probably horrified that they had to tell others that there was no food left (the restraunt was still busy at this time), but I could not believe a manager didn't have the guts to apologize in person. Very poor management and planning, will not be returning. Next time we will instead be going to the steak house next door. I would recommend the same if you want to actually eat. more

I ate at the 5 seasons brewery on Old Milton Pkwy in Alpharetta a couple weeks ago, and got severe food poisoning that was so bad I had to be hospitalized. I then filed a complaint with environmental health, who then started an active investigation on the restaurant. They sent someone out to perform a random sanitation check, and the resulting score was a 59, which goes without saying is very poor. more

My colleague and I went to this place one Friday night. We were not impressed with the food they served us. We were disappointed. However, the service was great and the crew was very nice to us. The beer selection was great too, but the food was not just what we expected. more

Ordinarily I love this joint. They craft fantastic beers and the food has always been delicious. But last weekend's experience was lackluster. The hostess sat my fiance and I on top of a loud and large party so we could barely hear each other. She refused to switch our tables. The appetizer came out cold, and the entree was a little bland. To top it off, they were out of both beers I picker out, and it was a Friday night! Five Season's, please get your act together. It would be a shame to lose you to the recession. We ate there recently for the first time. The food was barely OK. The duck entree was served raw and cold. When we asked for it to be brought up to temperature, it came back way over done with a black char. It also had a spicy bite to it that wasn't expected. The chicken sandwich...I would have preferred to eat at Chik-fil-A....and I don't like their sandwich, either. The Spaetzle were WAY overcooked, and cold...good for folks with no/few teeth! The kids' food was cool and nothing spectacular. Overall, not a good dining experience. The manager DID come over to our table at the end of our meal. He did comp. our food, which was appreciated. BUT, I would have rather had a great meal!! We won't return. Pros: Location...close to home Cons: Food. more

I was majorly disapointed with this restaurant. The beer was the best thing about it. I ordered the calmari, and the fried french chicken poussin with mashed potatoes, which came recomended as a savorful dish from our server. Both dishes were more bland than eating a piece of paper. No flavor, no spices, no nothing but flour for the batter and the meat. I was very disapointed seeing that my whole meal with my husband included came to 84 dollars and I hardly ate anything. My husband had the pork chops, which were sub par as well. My suggestion? Only serve beer! Pros: parking, beer, large dining area Cons: food more

Man the appetizers here are b*u*l*l*s*h*i*tz. I ordered the quail appetizer, and I had about enough meat with all of the pieces to obtain a full bite. Honestly, if you want amazing food go to Taco Bell. The beer here is ridiculous. It is awesome. I had the hopgasm, and I exploded in my pants! This brewery, being a local brewery, is great. The woman who asked for an imperial stout and was denied, I am sorry, I know how you feel, but please marry me?! I am in love with you! Anyways, this place was crowded and the bartender was nice and attentive, but go during the week and I guarantee you will get AMAZING service. First, I found the most lacking element was courteous service. When I enter a pub, especially one not overly busy, I expect to be greeted and asked my pleasure. I found my own way to the bar where there were only 3 or 4 other patrons, yet it took me 10 minutes to get a notice from the lady tending bar. Her replies seemed grudging and perfunctory, usually replying over her shoulder while walking away. It left me feeling unwelcome. I finally gave up trying to either ask her questions or give her orders. My wife and I had the great pleasure of dinning at the 5 Seasons. Located in Sandy Springs, the drive was a little too far for us, but we had so many friends recommending this place to us that we couldn't pass. The restaurant is big, with a bar and pool hall area separate from the main area, which it a haven for the smoker who wants to sneak a cigarette and not have to leave the premises while enjoying a beer. The food is outstanding, the menu can very well please pretty much anybody,from rib eye steaks, fish and chips or the suggested ""pan seared red snapper with chives and a lemon zesty foam... "" delicious!! It is really surprising to find this type of a menu on a brew pub.. an actual really good surprise. more

Just tapped at 5:55pm on Thursday 1/17/2008 (standard protocol there for new beers), it was a good tasting expresso imperial stout, but I wouldn't rate it as high as some others have. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, but it isn't super great either. At $6.55 for a SMALL tulip glass, it isn't worth writing home about. I was disappointed I guess because I expected a lot more. Their food was good and a decent value, but their wine selection was on the bottom of the totem pole (cheap quality wine for an expensive buck!) and their beer was overpriced for what you get in my opinion. I had 2 beers, one appetizer and a $12 pizza (I shared food with others to sample their food) and my bill was $40 including tip. Ridiculous! After reading the other reviews about the service I would have thought we were at a different restaurant. Our server (I think his name was Adam) did an excellent job of not only covering the specials and all food questions we had but was also very knowledgeable about all of their beer. The atmosphere was wonderful but possibly a bit noisy (not bad for a bar, but not the kind of place I would want to have a meeting or a date with my wife). Parking was painful as part of the parking lot is under construction and with the way it is set up they almost force you to valet your vehicle. The beers we tried were absolutely top notch and I would go back again just for them if nothing else. Our only complaint was about the food. Almost everything we saw on the menu was organic which was a nice surprise. For appetizers, we started off with edamame and the scallops from their small plates selection (basically like tapas) . The edamame was perfect. The scallops were cooked perfectly but then the plate (luckily not the scallops) was drowned in a very strong sauce (probably 3-4 oz). They were still great scallops as long as you avoided too much sauce. For dinner, we had the Filet au Poivre and the Lamb Tenderloin. The filet was a generous portion (2 x 1 in. medallions) and cooked exactly as I ordered. The pepper they crusted it with was a bit heavy handed (tasted it for hours afterwards) and again, the plate was drowned in sauce (3-4 oz at least). Were I to order it again I would ask for a light peppering of the steak and the sauce on the side. The lamb was a bit overcooked based on our order of medium rare and had a proper amount of sauce but the sauce had such a smoky flavor as to be almost overwhelming. The lamb was still very tender but was medium to medium well. The portions were very generous but even with my rich Copperhead ESB beer it was not able to cut the sauce/pepper on my filet. I will be going back but I will be making sure to ask for sauces on the side next time. more

Their pizzas really are quite good and they have some interesting combinations. We tried the mushroom and asparagus and were plesantly suprised. Also ordered the grouper sandwich which is not impressive. I expected a much larger selection of beers and the waitstaff to be eager in helping me decide what I would like to try. They really could have cared less and as far as I know just poured me a budweiser. That was my main issue that there seemed to be tons of people working there but they all seemed to be extremely busy and unhelpful. When we walked in my friend and I noticed a huge list of specials. None were offered by the waitstaff which was odd considering they were somewhat illegible on the dry-erase board at the front. Many other patrons complained of poor service as well which made the meal somewhat uncomfortable. Basically it's a fine place to go for bar food but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. The Five Seasons Brewery experience has served as bookends for my time in Atlanta. It was one of the first places I dined at upon my arrival four years ago, and will be one of the last on my way out of town. My second time was just as fabulous as the first. If only the rest of my time in Atlanta equalled my experiences there.... The pizzas are wonderful. Ham/apple & salmon/avacado, while not your typical pairing on pizzas, both hit the mark. Calamari appetizer is also very good. Beers on tap, particularly the Me262 Maibock, are quality. 5 Seasons offers meat plates, but we didn't try any of them.
