2nd Street Cafe is sweet. A small restaurant on the corner of 7th Avenue and 2nd Street in Park Slope, it's very popular with the local buggy brigade. And rightfully so. They give you crayons to scribble on the table cloths, and if you're really creative, your drawing will get tacked onto the walls and quite possibly the ceiling.
The breakfasts and brunch, which are the only times I've gone, are also something else. The eggs have that country touch to them, so fluffy and good, while the pancakes are stellar along with the homemade strawberry butter that comes with it. That little thing of strawberry butter makes you forget maple syrup ever existed. The portions are big and leave you so full, the only option afterwards is to either go window shopping in the neighborhood or head on over to Prospect Park a long, leisurely walk.
