Horrible Customer Service- Avoid Please! 6/30/2011

I had the worst experience ever with this place. I made my appoitmnet and the lady on the line was really nice. I thought I would receive great service since the woman was so no nice on the phone that was not the case. I went to my appointment and waited for about thrity minuets to be seen. The doctor was so cold and dry. He did not seem to happy. No bedside manner at all. The staff was horrible. I did not purchase frames that day and came back a few weeks later. Well I called before coming up there. I got up there at 9 am. The sign says they open at 9 but the lady did not get there to about 9:10 very unprofessional. I walked in and begin looking at frames. The lady who was late opening looked at me like what was I doping up there. That made me upset. I was looking at glasses why else would I be there. I was told that I would pay 150 I ended up paying 159 and Carmen asked was the price correct. Seriously she should have known how much to charge me. Two weeks went by and I called checking on my glasses. I was told by Carmen the glasses had broken at the lab. I became upset. I was told that with my insurance it could takes up to 9 weeks. Which was a load of crap. I called and verified with my insurance company. Well when I called a Friday afternoon Carmen says the glasses had broke at the lab. I asked was anyone going to contact me. Carmen said they don't and tried blaming everything on the lab, Good customer service regardless would have apologized for the inconvenience and followed up. Well mysteriously I got a call Monday that my glasses were ready for pickup. I went and picked up my glasses on Tuesday. The lady did not seem to happy to see me. Well I left with the glasses and begin having horrible headaches. I felt like I was walking up a hill. When I turned to either the left or right it would be blurry. Well I called Wednesday morning and informed them. The nice lady said I could come back up and they would take a look. I drove up there and Carmen did not look to happy to see me. I explained to the two ladies why I was there. Carmen says there is nothing she can do for me and that the doctor was not in. She seemed to have cleaned the glasses and shoved them back to me. I informed them I paid for glasses that I need to be able to see out of. I left and called my insurance company and asked what I could do. I was put on hold by my insurance company who called them. They told me to try the glasses for a week and if not change to come back. Well they told my insurance company to have me come back in 1 to 2 days. I asked my insurance company and they had no record of my glasses being broken. I will never recommend this office to anyone. The customer service is horrible. The entire time I was there I felft like I was not a patient but an inconvenience. I strongly feel if you pay for a service I should get what I paid for and at least to be treated with courtsey and respect. I am looking to get my money back and take my business else where. Steer clear of this place. more

Horrible- Avoid- Doctor does not care- Part 1 12/5/2008

I accompanied my mother to her appointment for an eye exam. We were greeted nicely by one woman, given paperwork to fill out- all routine. The woman who checked us in asked if there would be another person joining us. We said no, just my mom. After waiting for 20 minutes, a different woman approached us asking when our other family member would arrive. My mother responded no, and the woman became combative and accusatory, claiming my mother made the appointment for two people. I was next to her when she made the appointment over the phone, and I know she did not . Not a huge deal, but troubling. We looked at frames while we waited to see the doctor. Then, a different woman asked my mother for her glasses. We were there because my mother's car had been vandalized and she had no glasses. Our neighbor had lent her a pair of readers that morning, but they did not help. This woman was very rude! She tried to grab the glasses out of my mother's hands. Then she made a comment like, ""I hope you will be more honest with the doctor!'. I know we should have left, but we didn't. We walked around and looked at frames. Mom picked out 2. Finally, almost 40 minutes after the appointment was supposed to start (no one ever apologized or even hinted at the wait), the woman who originally greeted us took us into an exam room and did the preliminary tests. She was thorough, efficient and friendly. (Please read PART 2)\r Pros: participated with our insurance plan Cons: everything else more
