It's a wonder that this shop is even in business. I purchased 4 20 inch tires from this business 3-4 months ago. After riding problem free for a few months, I experienced a flat tire recently and had the tire fixed. In the process of repairing the flat tire I discovered that the tire in question actually had a manufacturer's defect.
I was told by the tire repairman at the flat fix shop to take the tire back to the store where it was purchased from for a full refund. Thankfully, that shop, 20's or better, was in the same general neighborhood around Flatbush. Anyway, I went to 20's or better and spoke to a woman, SHARON, who identified herself as the owner.
After explaining my predicament, I assumed that she would replace the tire or refund me for the purchase price of the item, $175, since the problem was product related. Furthermore, the standard protocol at most shops where custom tires and rims are sold is to replace the tires. The costs of the tires and balancing had come to over $700.
When I asked for the refund policy, however, the owner, SHARON, became rude, dismissive and belligerent.
She arrogantly stated that the tires came with no warranty and implied that it was my fault for not ""doing my research"" on the product. I explained to her that they were few options provided to me by the ""salesmen"", when the tires were purchased.
I explained to her that tires were sold to me by two tire repairmen, not a ""salesmen"".
She angrily stated that it was my fault and she was not responsible for the problem and that the two tire repairmen who ""sold"" me the tires no longer worked at the shop. In short, I was out of luck.
Unbeknownest to me friends have had similar experiences with 20's or better and SHARON.
This is an absolutely TERRIBLE BUSINESS. To be frank with you, 20's or better is the worst business that I've ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with. Avoid this business at all costs.
