Due to working in corrections I needed to acquire a dedicated level of fitness and health. I tried to conquer personal health on my own but lacked the motivation due to boring gym routines and lack of fitness knowledge. I decided that I needed a workout routine that was unique to me, that pushed my personal levels and that made the journey less difficult. It was then that I decided to join 1 on 1 boxing. I have been attending 1 on 1 boxing for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. The workout routines are varied, your fitness levels are pushed and you are the center of the workout. Since I started boxing I noticed that I?ve become stronger, more toned and I have developed a higher level of confidence. Chris, the owner, is always there to not only answer your fitness questions but to also give you helpful advice. He is dedicated to helping you reach your fitness goals by not only providing you with workouts that he feels will suit you but by also listening to you. I have overall fitness goals that I would like to achieve and I love how I can express these goals to Chris so that he can provide workouts that accommodate those goals. Chris also works around your schedule, which is great since my work schedule is sometimes randomly changing. What I really like about 1 on 1 boxing is that you are one on one with Chris. You are his focus while you are there and he is devoted to making your workout efficient and productive. One of Chris?s mission statements is that it is his goal to ??establish lasting relationships with you by exceeding your expectations and gaining your trust through exceptional service.? Chris does just that and it?s part of the reason why I am glad I found 1 on 1 boxing. more

1 On 1 Boxing is Great! 3/28/2011

1 On 1 Boxing is great because that is exactly what you get in your sessions with the owner Chris Terry. I heard about 1 on 1 Boxing from my sister who loved her boxing sessions with Chris. She would rave about how awesome her workout was and how Chris pushed her to a place she thought she could never be at physically. She was getting stronger and didn't mind leaving her sessions drenched in sweat because she was satisfied that she accomplished her fitness goal, as well as Chris' fitness goal for her, that day. I wanted to feel the same way after my workouts - to feel a real sense of accomplishment in a good workout, something that I can be proud of. more

What do I like about this gym? I love that every session is different. Chris will have a new set of workout routines ready for you every time you show up. Every session is different. You will not do the same type of exercise for a while. This keeps your workout interesting. What else do I like? Chris is very knowledgeable in boxing, fitness and nutrition. I could ask him any type of question while I'm training and he gives a solid answer with a reason behind it. Plus, this is really 1 on 1. He gives you his full attention while you are training. My training usually consist of the following: 1) We start with conditioning training. This is the part that really gets me tired. We do all sort of condition training. Every day is different types of exercise. 2) Then we do a boxing circuit. We practice all sorts of combination on the heavy bag, then we use the upper cut bag, then we move to do some punch-outs, and then we finish it with some mitts exercise. 3) You are not done yet. After this he makes you workout your abs. He has a bunch of different exercises for your abs. Some exercises you'll love, some abs exercises you don't want to see them again, but hey, no pain no gain. Overall I love what 1 on 1 Boxing Fitness represents, that is, personal training just for you. more

1 on 1 Boxng is the way to go 10/9/2010

Following a path of becoming an individual who wants to be in top shape is not so easy. I struggled like anyone else trying to increase my exercise habits and failing at the same time. Until I said to myself, enough is enough! I need to be involved in some type of program that will make me want more and more. So, I did my homework and boxing was my first choice. Not only is this sport so popular but it really gets you into top shape of your life:) I am currently a member at a gym called 1 on 1 boxing. If you have goals of meltng off the fat and turning it into lean muscle then this is the place for you. Not only am I getting into shape but I'm being taught how to box. I truly enjoy each day I come into train and see my results as I progress. The trainers at 1 on1 Boxing are defined as individuals who are motivaiders and will not allow you to give up. I have no complaints but a life of dedication of success:) more

1 on 1 Boxing Fitness 10/9/2010

As a former USMC Sgt., I've gone down just about every avenue of fitness there is out there and I have just now finally found the workout that provides me with EVERYTHING I need, and want. My workouts are no longer mundane and routine, they are no longer tireing and a chore to do. I actually look forward to getting in shape by learning to box. I don't actually box in that I've not hit anyone, nor has anyone hit me; in other words the idea that boxing is dangerous is totally wrong. There is TRAINING to box, then there is the actual competition of boxing. I TRAIN; which means I learn to do what the professionals do and I get in shape like the professionas do, but I don't have to worry about the pain the professionas have to. With each workout I feel more confident becasue I 'get better' at all the different aspects of the sport. The greateset part of this exercise expierence is the actual 1 on 1 training I get. Never have I gotten my moneys worth as I do at 1 on 1 Boxing Fitness; I now have a professional boxer who for 30 to 45 minutes 3 times a week makes sure I learn/train correctly and get the most out of my workouts. I leave the gym feeling strong, healthy and like I've accomplished something. My advise: just visit the gym, it's not anothers singles place or a country club social gym, but a place to change your health for the better. If I could post a picture, you'd see what I mean : ) -Robert J. Padilla more
