Great Mexican street style food 12/26/2010

I had never been to this place given its name. I was brought up to believe that a taquito is the proper name for a breakfast taco. So I thought this was going to be a generic taquito place; however, this place is great. It serves authentic Mexican street food, ie tortas and pork tacos. Great value, recommended. more

I like it:) 10/8/2010

Very nice, casual place to eat quickly some really tasty food. more

Best Value In Town 4/7/2008

I have been coming to 100% Taquito since it first opened at this location. It's my favorite restaurant. Try the Tinga Taco, named 2nd best taco in the state in Texas Monthly Magazine. Also, the Tres Leches is fantastic. Pros: Food, Service, Price, Atmosphere Cons: I wish the Tres Leches was cheaper more

100% Good 3/24/2008

This place is freaking cool. Great food at a ridiculous cheap price with great Aguas Fresca Limonada!!!! I found my quick cheap eats hangout!!!! Pros: The Menu Cons: Quesadillas could have been bigger! more

Very dissapointed!!!, chicken breast old and re-heated many times!!! 3/17/2008

My husband and I went with some friends to 100% Taquito Saturday night after we had not been there years ago!, only to find out that the food has decreased in quality by 100%!!! Cons: Old food!!! Chicken Breast old and re heated several times thru out the day!!! more

100% Goodness 12/19/2007

I first ate at 100% Taquito back in 2001 (before they expanded it in 2003) and fell in love immediately. It has been in my eating rotation every since, where I eat there at least once a month or so. Great food and it ?hits the spot? every time! Pros: great tasting food, parking Cons: can't think of any more

Fantastic Tortilla Soup 11/3/2006

I am, sadly, here several times a week. It's kind of embarassing. I'm OBSESSED with their tortilla soup, and have tried to recreate it at home with no luck.... so I keep coming back. I always get several soups and have a soup ""day"", and cheese and cilantro quesadillas....which are so, so, so good. Pros: cheap, clean, fresh Cons: can't think of any- except it's busy around lunch time more

The search is over 8/30/2006

I've been looking around Houston for decent tacos al pastor, like the kind I used to get at my favorite taqueria in Mexico City when I spent a summer there. Like I had at an outdoor market in Merida. Like I had in Puerto Vallarta. My search ended at 100% Taquito. No greasy, shredded and stewed pork here. Just tasty, marinated bits of (grilled? rotisseried?) pork, with pineapple or without, dressed with cilantro and onions in a corn (gotta be CORN) tortilla. So simple, so tasty, and so cheap! Can't beat it. more

GREAT FOOD!!! 3/3/2006

My husband & I go at least once a week with our little one. The food, the service, & the atmosphere are great everytime! The Sopes are my favorite, along with the Rice. The Michiladas are the best in town! Pros: food, milchiladas, open until 11:00 more

Great for vegetarians! 11/16/2004

Excellent, fresh vegetarian Mexican available. Try the bean sopes--add the free pico de gallo and salsas and what a delicious meal for 3 bucks. I go there all the time. The corn with cheese and lime is wonderful too. Pros: cheap, fresh, tasty more

Very good 11/25/2003

I´m from Mexico City and have been to 100% Taquito twice. I wouldn´t call it ""100% authentic"", but it´s the closest I´ve seen here in Houston. Specially the ""al Pastor"" stuff, is not exactly the real Pastor. Order anything else and you´ll be very happy. However, if you compare it to all those Tex-Mex places (which are more Tex than Mex), then 100% Taquito is a oasis. Pros: Great value, Quite authentic, Good food Cons: Not very pretty more

Great 7/1/2003

Great food. You get the authentic taqueria taste w/o haveing to go to some dive taqueria. Very clean and very cheap. Only bad thing is they say they got rated the best tres leches in town... but it is not really that good at all. Pros: cheap, yum, cheap Cons: charge for chips, tres leches not tgood more

a great find 2/23/2003

My friend from Mexico City brought me here once so that I could taste authentic mexican food. I loved the place and became a regular. Great tasting food, far superior to the typical Tex-Mex, with a view and a spanish MTV soundtrack. There is an open air patio, too. Downside is very slow service. Pros: autheticity, taste, ambience Cons: slow service, cheap & ugly tables more

Truly Authentic !!! 12/12/2002

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. Their speciality is grilled meat served on homemade tortillas. Simple but very unique and very tasty! No salsa or nasty yellow cheese to hide the flavor. My favorites are the spicy port brisket and the banderies(sp). Also make sure to pick up a piece of tres leches cake. Wonderful! Pros: tast unique food, inexpensive, fast more

Authentic Goodness 12/10/2002

This was the best Mexican Food that I have had in a long time. The atmosphere was just like being back in Mexico. Everything was just prepared like it is down there. more

The new thing in town!! 11/11/2002

Great Place....Very Authentic...and very good quality food for the money paid!! Much better than any chain and very clean atmoshpere!! I am hooked....!! Pros: Inexpensive more

so, what's a taquito? 8/19/2002

i think taco cabana is alot better with more to offer. taquitos and quesadillas are the same thing except the latter has CHEESE. chicken is dry and salty. how come they dont have mild or medium salsa? its only extra extra spicy or mucous membrane burning spicy. the service was bad as well. the cashier paid more attention to the cook than to us when taking our order, which is why he got our order wrong. i dont see what is so great about this place. 3 little tortillas with meat, onions and cilantro for about $3. i'd rather go to taco cabana and get a real quesadilla. Cons: service, food, price more

The Real Thing 8/12/2002

If you low on cash then this is the place for you. The tacos here are GREAT and very tasty. Its lots of great Mexican food on the menu so take your pick. Its all Good!!! Pros: Cheap, Good parking more

Absolutley Delicious!!!! 8/8/2002

The tacos are great and they have the best tres leches in Houston Pros: Inexpensive, Fast, Clean more

Excellent!!! 8/6/2002

Short on cash? Hungry? Want great food? This place is perfect. The food is authentic and priced cheap, but not cheap quality! The food is super tasty! The taquitos are the best, but watch the menu it tells you that it's not large enough to be a meal in itself. I would defintely recommend this restaurant for fast, cheap mexican food. Pros: Cheap, Yummy!, Location more
