Review content:
We had Ambar recommended by a friend who is Indian as the place to eat. It is fantastic. The food is spiced to order. You may want to stay on the mild side or you will need a gallon of water. If it is your first time eating Indian, I would recommend one of the sampler platter such as the Ambar India Special. Our waiter was glad to explain what each dish was. Also try the Mango Lassi for a refreshing drink which goes well with a hot meal. Parking is behind the building and very limited so you might want to get there early. We made the mistake of inadvertently parking in a competitors lot next door, Amol, and someone from the restaurant informed us with spittle flying that he would tow our car. After that incident, we would never try Amol and our Indian friend said the food there was inferior anyway. The prices are quite reasonable at Ambar with entrées hovering around $10.
