Review content:
If you don't want to be taken to the cleaners, then don't hire Aspen Air. I had them do a furnace check-up for me. The tech proceeded to put his "camera" into the heat exchanger and immediately declared that the exchanger had a crack in it and he was going to "red tag" the furnace and turn the gas and electric off to it, which he did. He told me that it needed to replaced right away and he could have the salesman give me a quote for a new furnace that afternoon. The Aspen Air salesman quoted me $2900 for a new furnace which I thought was really high priced for 45,000 Btu unit. I had a second HVAC company also give me a quote that same afternoon and their price was almost $1000 less for a bigger Btu unit. I proceeded to have the second company install a new furnace the next day and those techs said my existing furnace was fine and shouldn't have been replaced. Of course this was after they already had the old one out and the new one was almost installed. I had Aspen Air's tech, Brandon, come back and look at the furnace after it was completely out and sitting in my driveway, where one could see that the heat exchanger was not cracked, and his incompetence kicked in again and he insisted that the furnace was junk. When I talked to Mark from their office, the best he said Aspen Air could do is give me my money back for the furnace tune-up. Wow,what a deal, I don't have to pay for a faulty furnace tune-up but, instead get stuck paying over $1800 for a new furnace that I didn't need and realistically had another 6 or more years left in it. You be the judge. Is this the type of company you want to do business with?
