This refers to boarding, not actual vet services. I have no experience there with the vet services (nor will I).
I am new to the area and used GAVH because it was near my house and I did not know any other place to go to board my dog. I boarded her for three days. When I called to make the appointment, I was told the cost would be $30/night. When I dropped my dog off, I was told I could pay an extra $1/day for an extra walk since they only get two "5-10" minute walks.
When I went to pick her up, my total came to almost $120. I asked why, and they said for a large dog it is $36.50/night. I told them this was not the price I was told, and they just shrugged. I then noticed I was charged $2/day for the extra walk. I chose not to make a big deal out of $3 since they had already charged me $18 more than I was told.
On top of all this, my dog came out smelling like she had been rolling in her own feces. Everywhere else I have boarded her bathes her before she comes home, but this place clearly did not nor did they ask if I wanted them to. And if they actually took her out 3 times a day, there is no reason she would have had an accident in her kennel anyways.
I really hope that this is not how all boarding places in the area are. Please leave a note if you know of a trustworthy/reliable place.
