Review content:
Good: Jamie was courteous and had a fair price. The job started out well, removing wallpaper and skimcoating walls.
Fortunately, he subcontracted a painter to faux finish my kitchen. She did a beautiful job! Unfortunately, Jamie paid her less than half the contracted price for work that she meticulously did over a two week period. Now I may end up having to be a witness in a legal action she may take up to get her money due.. Bad: But, as days went on, there was sloppiness--paint on carpet, floors, windowsills. Wall and switch plates were not removed. Towel bars were not removed. They were painted around.. Improvements: More care in detail. Better job of second coating, so that you didn't see roller streaks.
Promptness in paying the subcontractor who worked longer on the job than Jamie did.
As a result, I am still cleaning up paint spots, fixing up mixed spots, and painting my own baseboard heating covers.. Other: Twice during the job, Jamie claimed he got sick and was hospitalized. No phone calls, no returned calls. This was rude and unprofessional. Very unlike the man I thought I contracted with. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PAINTER!.
