Review content:
Ok, everyone who see's Dr. Burke knows you are going to wait between 4-7 hours to see him. And everyone knows he will sit with you for 1-2 hours.
You can't argue results. Anyone who does any research on the controversy around Lyme AND related tick-born infections knows it’s rare to find an advocate. Dr. Burke is one of the only doctors I have come across who continues to research and follow studies on medications, treatments and testing.
People with tick-born illnesses have few places to go. You can’t argue with results - he has either healed or improved the quality of life for many people. Talk to anyone in his waiting room (waiting 4-7 hours and driving from different states) and they will tell you while the wait it annoying and he can be unorthodox in his strategies (what doctor ever sat with a patient for over 15 minutes?), but he cares a great deal for everyone and knows what he is doing.
Additionally, he has suffered from these diseases as well, so he knows what it is like to go through the treatments.
These dieses are horrible, affecting every part of your body and mind – people who come to Burke (and probably wrote some of these reviews) are already frustrated at the medical system, the money they have spent and the pain they have endured. Unfortunately, treatment for tick-born illnesses is rough – you don’t take a pill and feel better. I think it is slightly unfair to totally blame Burke for symptoms of medication, detoxing or even the fact that he has one other person on staff to help him.
