Dr. Goodman-Herrick is wonderful. I have seen him as my personal therapist for six years -- more or less, according to need and geography -- and that ongoing conversation has been truly transformative for me. Jonathan brings rare insight, openness, and real empathy to our sessions together. I should also mention irreverence and humor. I have never felt that he has enlisted some static set of ideas or guidelines in our sessions; rather, he truly listens. His approach is deeply intuitive and can be surprising. No matter what state I am in; no matter a flatness of mind, or gloom or joy, I always look forward to seeing him. Our work together has been incredibly interesting, and I am continually amazed and appreciative of his ability to bring my attention to a simpler and more profound root. As a result of our time together I am far better at doing this myself.
I cannot recommend Dr. Goodman-Herrick enough. The Bay Area is incredibly lucky to have him.
