Review content:
The best euphemism for the seating options at Max Soha is intimate which is to say that you will hope that your neighboring table has interesting things to say because you may hear it. On the other hand, because of the restaurants relative obscurity, in a neighborhood that remains "up and coming" and the loyalty of its customer base, the conversation is appropriate and quiet. More importantly, even though small, the acoustics are such that you can hear your own friends. And even more importantly, the food is wonderful. From the warm bread at the beginning of the meal to the appetizer, to any of the pasta, meat, or dinner salad options, and finally to the desert, everything is unique and perfectly cooked. Portions are large enough to finish and feel full but not stuffed. And this is as they should be because the price is highly reasonable. By any standards, it is a bargain, by Manhattan standards, it is a steal and a find.
