I am a long-time client at the Floral Vale Spa in Yardley, PA. There I've enjoyed massages, sunless tanning, manicures, pedicures, eye brow waxing and tinting, hair cut/style and most recently the Keritan Treatment. In addition, I recently booked their most expensive package as a gift for my Mother. Given all of this, one would think they would recognize me by name when I check in for services. Instead, they talk at me, and without inviting me to the desk, tell me to have a seat and someone will be with me. Ok...
Three different hair stylists made my experience "all about them"... their long hours, their mother-in-laws, their co-workers, etc.
In terms of Customer Service, I cannot say too much in the way of praise for Floral Vale Spa and Salon. However, there is one exception. Barbara is excellent. She's pleasant, professional, talented and she makes guests feel wonderfully relaxed, welcomed, and pampered. Isn't that what a spa is all about? They need a whole staff of Barbaras.
The final straw for me was when my first Keritan treatment failed to work. It took multiple phone calls, arguing and ultimately weeks of me following up before it was resolved. The solution was a credit for the $75 service toward the Keritan Non-Express Treatment. This time, it worked (better) but the results wore off in 4 weeks. I was quoted 4-6 months of frizz-free hair. When I called to report this, nothing was offered to me.
I'm not going to push the issue. It's not worth my time. I simply will not return to the Floral Vale Spa and Salon in Yardley, PA. The value for the expense is not there. It's worth it to spend a little more at a higher level facility.
One caveat -- enjoy their massages and facials with Barbara. She's absolutely delightful and their prices for these services are actually reasonable. Steer clear of their disastrous hair services though.
