Log Cabin Resort is located on Lake Crescent in the Olympic National Park, approximately 20 miles west of the city of Port Angeles. My husband and I stayed on a Saturday night in August, and the resort was completely packed! We rented a basic Camping Log Cabin which has two double beds, a small desk, an outdoor firepit, and a picnic table. There are toilets, coin-operated showers (one in the women's bathroom, and one in the men's), and laundry facilities a short distance away. We saved some money by bringing our own bedding and firewood. The resort is pet-friendly; we brought our two dogs and paid a nominal pet fee. In addition to the cabins and lodge rooms, the Resort has also a large area for RVs and tent campers. When the resort is full, it certainly is boisterous and active! It's a great place for kids or big groups of people. We expected to have trouble getting some sleep, but the entire place quieted down at 10pm. The resort has a shop, restaurant and boat rentals. On Saturday night, the restaurant serves dinner from 6-8pm. We planned to eat breakfast there on Sunday morning, but the restaurant wasn't open when we had to leave at 8am. A variety of boats can be rented from the office between 8am-6pm. However, if we stay again, we would definitely bring our own; we would have liked to be on the lake at sunset. Log Cabin Resort has a website with more information, www.logcabinresort.net. I don't recommend using their online reservation system, though. I submitted two requests but never got a response.
