Strosniders Hardware is perhaps the perfect combination of a very wide range of products, good prices, and friendly and helpful advice. Now days, with the predominance of the big chain home stores, this is an incredibly difficult combination to find in a single store. They offer a full range of supplies for painting, electical, plumbing, and lawn and garden. They even offer a good rang eof products for kitchens, storage, and arts/crafts products.
Since the late -- but not lemented -- departure of Hechinger's Hardware that used to be on upper Wisconsin Ave, Strosniders is one of the few hardware stores that isn't a long drive from our upper northwest Washington neighborhood. But even if it was a much longer drive, it would no doubt be worth the effort. These people are the best in helping you find what you need. In one case, I had a plumbing problem and was going to replace a stem for a bathroom faucet. I brought it in and the helpful hardware man fixed the problem by making his own part! What service!
