If someone asks for a good breakfast place in LA, I don't think twice about saying B&P. they have delicious, flavorfull breakfasts. is it expensive? yes, but so are most places in LA. deal with it. I don't mind paying a little more for food as long as it's good. My favorite breakfast there is Huevos Rancheros. I love their pancakes and porridge, too. I recently discovered the most heavenly tasting omlette--goat cheese, mushrooms and onions (i asked for no spinach as it tends to make omlettes watery). so freakin good. the egg dishes come with potatoes, some fruit and beans and salsa. The drawbacks: there is usually a wait, but when a place is popular with great food, what do you expect? they have a waiting area with comfy sofas to chill while you wait. And one thing I don't get: they charge you for "real" maple syrup. In a place that prides itself on serving great food, why wouldn't they only serve real maple syrup? Pros: AMAZING breakfasts, best porridge Cons: a little pricey (but worth it), charge for "real" maple syrup
