Lucy is frequently present in her eponymous cafe, frequented by medical/nursing types at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The coffee is good, the tea is Republic of Tea, the desserts decent (not great) but the ambiance is eclectic, funky, receptive and low-key. It is a nice place to hang out and discuss your latest health research, the class you are failing. Parking is a disaster, so think of this as the place to walk to.
