I brought my car (07 Hyundai Sonata with 30K miles) here for inspection because they advertised such a good price. I didn't think I needed to go to the dealer, even though it's under warranty, because it's less than 2 years old and I figured it would pass easily.
They ended up telling me that I needed to replace the rotors or the car wouldn't pass. I didn't think of the warranty, so I had them do the repairs.
I ended up retrieving the rotors to bring to the dealer to see if I could be reimbursed and they told me that there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. They also told me that the car simply wouldn't wear down the rotors so quick with normal driving. Cambray's auto should not change the rotor for you, they just need to clean it and you could use it up to 50,000 miles.
All I wanted to tell you that, don't look at their advertising price, it's cheating place to go. So basically what Cambray seems to do is get you in for inspection with a low advertised price, then tell you that you need unnecessary repairs. I hate to be so cynical, the only other conclusion I can come to is that I somehow wore out the rotors incredibly fast and the dealer is wrong. I'm no expert on rotors (or auto repair, for that matter), but I did a little bit of research and looked at the rotors, which seem very smooth with little wear. That may not mean much, but it strengthens my belief that Cambray lied to me or didn't try machining the rotors or anything.
