These are nice people. Really. And maybe the veterinary care is perfectly acceptable in normal circumstances. I went there, though, because my senior dog had developed a rare illness which THEY SAID they had experience in treating. Think again. I don't know if they assumed I was misunderstanding my own dog's condition (and therefore dismissed what I told them), or if they simply didn't listen. But when they suddenly realized -- as my dog required more complex care -- that her symptoms were in fact highly unusual, they absolutely freaked. At first, they accused me of not being honest about it, which I quickly corrected (since I had explained completely and thoroughly). They then dropped that idea, but said they couldn't understand the symptoms, and refused to treat her (she was very ill) until they could do more research. They sent me home, with a dog deteriorating rapidly. They didn't listen to me (I knew what medication she needed); didn't refer me to anyone else; and didn't offer any options. I had to rush my dog to another veterinary clinic nearby for the needed medication (which she received) to keep her from dying. I can't tell you how angry and scared I was, and I would never set foot in that clinic again. Had I not found another clinic where I could walk-in, in an emergency, my dog would have gone into a medical crisis and died. As it is, she died a few months later. I knew that would happen; she had an autoimmune disorder for which there is no cure. But with proper and dedicated care (largely at home), she lived for another full year with a good quality of life.
