Businiess name:  Jeffrey A Robinson Law Offices
Review by:  Renea M.
Review content:
I unfortunately used Jeff's services for a difficult divorce I went through. Jeff is dishonest and has a terrible reputation in the law community. He comes across as aggressive, which he is, but ultimately to the expense of his client. His idea of a fair settlement is one that will cost the client as money as possible. He is disagreeable even when he knows the outcome will not change. He does this to increase his earnings from the client. Jeff follows through on nothing. My ex-husband was able to drain our savings acct., which was set up in a trust between his attorney and mine, and Jeff was never able to explain this. This is just an example of how incompetant I found him to be. I was warned by acquaintances that had used him previously not to use him and I so wish I would have listened. He does not follow up on anything. You will find yourself doing all the work but paying him a hefty bill. I spent over $60,000.00 in less than two years on issues that had nothing to do with my divorce. Jeff requested documents at my expense that also had nothing to do with the divorce. We tried mediation and everyone was agreeable to the settlement except Jeff. The mediator told Jeff he felt Jeff was doing his client a disservice regarding the advise he was ginving me. The mediator was right. Our case went to trial. The judge granted my ex and I almost exactly what the mediator had said he would. Jeff dropped me 1 week before trial after I spent over $60,000.00 on him. I owed him less than $5,000.00 on my current bill which he quickly turned over to a collection agency. I am now being garnished for double the bill and he is refusing to give me any of my documents. There are plenty of repatable attorneys around that are honest and still effective. Jeff plays on your emotions and the vunerability you feel when going through a divorce. Be smart. Don't allow your vunerability to get in the way of good judgement.
