Simply the Best of San Antonio: El Jarro De Arturo is not the a typical enchilada's and taco fair that most restraunts have. Even though they do have it on their menu. What set's them apart are the fresh selections of daily specialites. The last visit I had we had a choice of a tenderloin with galic and rosemary infused potatos and a salmon filet with a mango salsa on a bed of asparagas and artichokes. We also order a side of Guacomole which was the best I have had in San Antonio and at $4.75 for a full plate of Guacomole it is totally worth it. The flavors melded very nicely and had a nice hint of cilantro but was not over powering like other restraunts which was nice for a change. As for our meals they looked like pictures from a nice magazine as they came each delicately crafted with a sprig of fresh rosmary placed gingerly on each. So it alittle while for use to finally get into our meals but once we did the savory flavors and the delicate nuiasances came out. My steak was not only fresh and cooked to perfection (Medium Rare) it had a lovely hint of cilantro and basil which was a little shocking. My parteners meal was vivacious fruity and ever so tasty. It was truelly the hit of the party. So if you go to El Jarro De Arturo you can stick with the basic menu fair. But if you are feeling alittle adventerous and fun try the specials on the day. It will be worth the price. If you are wondering about service. The wait staff is very clingy and make you feel abit stuffed and cramped which is also part of the restraunts home feeling. So go enjoy yourself a drink a nice nite and a good time at El Jarro De Arturo.
