Good: Yes, they have nice furniture, but so does Ashley, Furniture Row, and few other great places to go. At Ashley's there's an employee named Greg who is fantastic at what he does. He does not hassle you or tries to sell the items, he wants you to be happy with your purchase and will be honest about the products they carry in the store.. Bad: I have never been so disrespected and disgusted by a company before and Van Vreedes went over the top. They act like your best friend when you are in there buying a product, but afterwards it is horrible. I had an employee named Marlene N. who "took care of me" and yet she failed to let me know about the store's policy, restocking fees, and if you put money down they order it right away for you. So if you can't buy the items you originally wanted, you lose the money you deposited.. Improvements: Do you know the phrase, "Customers First"? Well, apparently Van Vreedes in Appleton, Wi has not. In my job, I'm all about great service and pertaining to the customers in the best situation I can. If I'm not happy with how the customer is or the situation because they are not buying anything, then there's nothing I can do. It's my money that I put down and Van Vreedes is denying me the money I've worked hard for. I'm not rich and cannot be wasting money left and right. Anyone would be upset in losing money.. Other: I am writing not to give their company a bad review, but more so to save anyone who wants furniture from getting bad service that I have gotten over the past few weeks. I've yet to get my refund back. Since Marlene did not notify me of their policies and restocking fees, I should get my refund back. That is failure to inform a customer and the customer should not suffer for it. If you are looking into purchasing through Van Vreedes in Appleton, Wi, I'd advise you not to. It may be the worse investment thus.
