Review content:
I worked out at this place for about 3 years. While I did learn a lot, I did not like the way the place was being run. The Master and owner, was pretty cocky and very chauvinistic. He often spoke condescendingly at students.
I personally think he overcharges, but what does it matter what I say? He's still making a ton of money because people still want to take their kids there.
I went to another TKD school in a other city and it was far more disciplined. If you were late, push ups. If you talked during class, push ups. If you weren't paying attention, push ups. Also, if you didn't attend a certain amount of classes before testing, you weren't allowed to test. If you forgot your form, you failed. At Lee's if you have the money, you pass. It's a joke. I remember having a conversation with him once and he even admitted that if he was more strict and disciplined, parents would pull their kids out because it's about bragging rights to them-- ooh my kid just got his blue belt and he's only been taking tkd for 6 months. Lee doesn't want t o lose money and the parents want to see their kids get passed through the system. It's a win-win situation... unless you're serious about learning the real discipline of martial arts.
