Review content:
The historic Strand Theatre in the heart of downtown Lakewood is a beautiful venue that was refurbished several years ago. I've seen a number of live theatre performances there and while the experience was okay, the theatre itself is too cramped and the acoustics are average. In addition, the public areas are cramped. Still, when you see a show there, there's a small-town friendly feel in the air since so many patrons are locals and the venue draws in the occasional national act worth seeing in a small hall.
