Review content:
Roma Imports, a NY style deli and resaturant, is located in the south Tucson industrial area just off Kino Parkway near Fr. Kino's statue on the way to the airport. Don't tell anyone else..... It is Tucson's undiscovered jewel.
Roma carries a full range of Italian delicacies and essentials as well as fresh pasta, ice cream (yes, spumoni too!) and 'meals to take home' made en premise.
The owner, Lilian Spieth, is usually behind the counter near a barrel of freshly baked, hard crusted bread. This is not a chain establishment and she takes a great personal pride in her products.
I have eaten there many times and find the best seating is available around 11.30 a.m. They are open six days a week from 8.30 til 5. Roma fills up for lunch with the 'local' crowd.
