We purchased a home in Grandview a few years ago and when we were looking we had assistance from an agent with King Thompson named Scott Wheeler. He took us to a number of houses and had a good feel for the market, letting us know when we thought a house was overpriced or whether it was a good bargain.
We ended up looking at a house that was for sale by owner. The owners did not want to pay the commission for the buyers agent so we were unable to use Scott's services (or fork out over $5,000 of our money) so we unfortunately couldn't go with him for the negotiations and final deals. That being said he still looked through the house with us and gave us a positive opinion. When we told him we were going that route he was completely understanding and very cool about it. When the day comes to buy a bigger house he'll be the one to sell it. Its nice to have someone who is looking out for you in this business and you get that with Scott.
