Review content:
One step inside Lucier, and you feel like you've entered a hotel in Vegas. It is breathtaking and nothing else in Portland compares. The valet is complimentary and your car is brought to the front door before you even have to ask for it. I took clients to dinner at Lucier and although it was very expensive the experience was incredible and the service was amazing. For four people, the dinner including wine was $538 and nothing on the menu is inexpensive. We had 8 people serving just the four of us! The maitre d' even took us on a tour, including the kitchen, and introduced us to the chef. They have a great wine selection (they had everything we asked about), caviar cart, and cheese cart (highly recommended). I enjoyed the crab bisque, yellow fin, sea scallops (not the live one), cheese cart, and the jasmin creme brulee. If you can't spend a few hundred dollars on dinner, try out the lounge or outside patio. A cocktail called the perfect peach was just that and not too swee. If you get a little cold, they will even bring you a faux fur blanket to keep you warm. On another occasion the maitre d' saw me waiting for my date and brought me a complimentary glass of champagne while I waited. I don't think I have ever met such an attentive staff and few dining experiences are as memorable as this one. For a special occassion, Lucier can't be beat.
Pros: Incredible decor, view, and service
Cons: Very expensive
