Review content:
Swymfit is one of the few metro west boston pools offering the low impact water therapy and fitness program called the "Burdenko" Method. The aqua fitness program was perfect for my son in helping him re-build strength and flexibility and reduce pain and swelling signficantly post knee surgery (we were able to discontinue the icepacks after a few short weeks of therapy... yeahh!!).
Steve Victorson, Swymfit owner and sports trainer, was very competent and patient working with my son using specialized weight belts and flotation devices. After a few water therapy sessions, he was able to continue practicing the water workouts and strength training exercises during Swyfit open pool hours, sometimes alternating with gym workouts.
Swyfit water therapy was highly recommended to us by good friends in Acton. We agree that it provided a safe low impact alternative to traditional PT. What a find - just wanted to share with others...
