Went to Trousdale for a birthday party. No problem getting in with bottle service.
I thought people were overly casual, but if you're a girl a LBD will do the trick. Where heels if you're petite, because the model chicks are TALL and you'll get lost in the crowd otherwise. Men were dressed any kind of way; jeans, t-shirts, sneaks etc.
Drinks were expensive but made well. $10 glass of wine if you're not feeling the 13+ for a cocktail.
My big complaint is that they let waaay too many people in here. Super crowded, people knocking your drink out of you hand and onto your dress - stuff like that. Obnoxious men, but hey, it's Hollywood so whadya except.
Music was a loud mix of mostly bass heavy house that keeps people dancing (or bouncing up and down). DJ knew how to read the crowd.
Smoking patio is a joke. It a really a 3x10 foot strip of half outdoor space that's cramped and too smoky even for smokers.
Celebrities and such frequent the place, so that's nice if you want to network. I left around 1am, and was told Christina Aguilera came in right after. Too bad we didn't get to meet her.
The valet is crazy cheap at $10, huge plus.
All in all it was an ok night, ok place. I doubt I'd go back unless for another birthday party or something. But I'm a little jaded when it comes to Hollywood clubs, so this may be perfect for someone who isn't. I think the spot has potential if the right people are there.
Pros: Celebs, model chicks in short skirts, $10 valet
Cons: too crowded, music so so, smoking patio
