Wow, what a major disappointment. Booked a facial due to their AMAZING Prettycity $31.00 offer. Am I the only one to recognize this was a scam once in the door? They put it was a $170 offer...hum, NOT. The real offer was a mini facial...I was told it was a 20-25 minute facial. I did not need the eye brow wax either...I did not get a tour, did not think the staff AT ALL polite, was never "scheduled" for the consultation. When I found out it was not the facial they advertised (no extraction, etc), I left. I can go get a full facial in Chicago for around $40-$50....why would I waste my time and $31 for 20 minutes of getting my face slathered with product they are going to try an sell me?! (the main reason I go for facials is the extraction of pores) I need to remember never to visit spas when they first open. Once the realize there is loads of competition in the city, they usually become nicer to deal with but in the beginning the owners/staff seem to think themselves unique. They missed the boat with me and I am sure a few others out there. Prettycity is a great opportunity (for the spas) to capture new clients (and us to get nice deals but also discover new places and possibly become clients) and I will never go back. Whoever the person was working at the front desk should be fired too...at least she could have tried to win me back instead of being such a snob. That attitude in this economy? Come on. P.S. I heard two girls complaining to each other about the "$31.00 offer" not being what they thought while I was filling out my paperwork. Now I understand what they were talking about. Pros: nothing Cons: snobby attitute, misrepresentation of services/cost
