Review content:
I am a proud alum of James B. Conant High School. I consider it the crown jewel of District 211, and have no doubts that it ranks as one of the best public high schools in the state of Illinois.
The teachers were dedicated, knowledgeable, and always willing to help out. Honestly, I can't remember having one teacher who half-assed it. They were caring individuals who took a strong interest in their student's academic career as well as their students as individuals.
We've had excellent sports teams with several successful runs in postseason play. Participation in our sports was always a priority and encouraged by the staff.
There was a wide variety of academic courses to choose from. Each was taught by a competent educator. Wide choices of AP classes that many students took advantage of to gain college credit.
Overall, I think my time at Conant High School was very positive and it helped shape my career.
