Trying to beat the hot summer humidity and need somewhere for your kids to let off energy? Try playspace in downtown Raleigh. Playspace is center driven, and there are many activities for your child to do. Activities include music room, art room (they will have a group make and take activity a few times a day), train table w/ Thomas trains, Dress up stage, Water fun, Castle, Grocery store, dr's office, bank, Firetruck & EMS van, plus more. You can hop from station to station at your chlids leisure. They open most days around 10 and you can spend as long as you like. It is a great way for children to burn energy, enjoy creative play in an air conditioned building. It is a bit pricey- $5 per person (parent pays too) BUT you can opt for different types of passes where you pay a flat fee for unlimited play. They also do B-day parties.
