Review content:
We were excited about furnishing our livingroom with Sutton's furniture after touring the showcase of homes that they had decorated. Unfortunately the experience was very disappointing from the start .The custom curtains that were measured by the designers were measured incorrectly-a two inch gap when curtains are closed affords minimal privacy. When the mistake was discovered upon installation-we were told that they were designer drapery panels not intended for privacy!!
A custom leather chair was delivered damaged-a small noticeable area looked as if it was scraped and indented with the top layer removed.When we complained about it we were told that it was a naturally occuring scar on the hide-if we wanted it perfect we should have ordered naugahyde!!
There were months of delay with poor communication. Rarely did I get an update on delivery dates without prompting Sutton's with a call first. In all fairness Sutton's did refund 1/6 the cost of the chair after my repeated calls about it .
All in all it was a very stressful and negative experience. The furniture is beautiful but the Harden furniture we purchased in hind sight could have been purchased from the central showroom an hours drive from us. Sutton's has had a great reputation in the past but there seems to be little accountability for their present transactions.
